Special May 4th event

Magpie, originally from Kent, was scheduled to perform a special May 4th concert and reading tonight. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances, that was unable to happen.

The group was to perform a carefully chosen and emotionally powerful selection of songs of and about the era, interspersed with readings from Susie Erenrich’s book “The Cost of Freedom: Voicing a Movement after Kent State 1970,” newly published by KSU Press.
