Retro Emporium Kent is absolutely stocked with a curated variety of 80's/90's vintage toys, video games, records, candy, and ephemera of all types! There is something for everyone here no matter their age or interest. Beyond goodies, you'll want to keep an eye on their social media for upcoming shows with local bands, from near and far hosted, in the store, and community events that are a haven for nerds!

Moore Than Rocks is downtown Kent’s gem 😉 offering, well, gems, crystals, jewelry, incense, and so so much Moore. The store is bigger than you may expect with so much to see and touch and friendly, knowledgeable staff to guide you on your journey or answer any questions. Stop in for the Kent Nerd Party for an itinerary as packed as their events calendar. The shop will be hosting aura photos, a Rocks of Minecraft Exhibit, and geode cracking.

Sweet Themes Bakeryes Bakery is downtown Kent’s sweet delight offering scratch made cakes, cookies, cupcakes, cheesecakes, pastries, scones and pie in a variety of sweet and savory flavors. For Kent Nerd Party, they will be offering an exclusive one-day only menu catered to the nerds! Or maybe you need a “pick me up” before the cosplay contest? Grab your delicious dose of caffeine at Sweet Themes Bakery!

Maggie’s on Meeker is our beloved downtown restaurant serving delicious, affordable breakfast & lunch daily in a hometown atmosphere. For Kent Nerd Party ONLY they will be offering extended hours for the whole event with a model train exhibit in the backroom after lunch (3pm-7pm!), and tabletop games from The Game Shelf in the front for you and your crew to enjoy with your sandwich or chicken strips. Beat the heat and grab a scoop of ice cream while you’re at it!

Cycle Therapy offers bicycles of all types for all abilities! Whether you’re in the market for some new wheels, or need to get your old ones in shape, Cycle Therapy has everything to get rolling from mountain bikes to electric bikes, repairs to advice! These folks are known not only for their large bike inventory, but for their excellent customer service and wealth of information. Service doesn’t end when the bike rolls out the door. The store offers free tune-ups for life for customers!
