Come enjoy the annual Superior Plumbing Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival April, always held the third weekend in April. The downtown Kennesaw area will be transformed into a giant family-friendly festival. There will be a variety of activities to entertain all ages. While at the Superior Plumbing Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival take time to wander through more than 250 booths featuring a vast array of on

e-of-a-kind and homemade crafts. It has grown through the years to become one of the largest arts and crafts shows in North Georgia. Enjoy live music, all your favorite fair foods, kids' activities, and the Georgia Grown Member Market, showcasing products made and grown right here in Georgia! The location of the festival plays up the rich heritage of Kennesaw and its important role in the Civil War. The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History sits at the center of the festival. This Smithsonian-affiliated Museum is home to the famous “General” locomotive. The Superior Plumbing Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival is held in downtown Kennesaw on both sides of Main Street (Highway 293) and is co-sponsored by the City of Kennesaw and the Kennesaw Business Association (a non-profit organization). The numbers are finalized, and we are proud to officially announce that the 50th Anniversary Big Shanty Festival was the largest in the event’s history.

This milestone year would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community. Thank you to our vendors, sponsors, volunteers, City of Kennesaw staff, police officers, public works crews, entertainers, and the hundreds of thousands of guests who joined us in Downtown Kennesaw for this historic celebration.

Because of your support, the Festival will be able to give back more to the community than ever before — something that has always been at the heart of the Big Shanty Festival tradition.

Thank you for helping make Year 50 unforgettable. We look forward to seeing everyone back for Year 51 in April 2027! 🎉

What can we say, Kennesaw! But thank you. On our 50th annual Superior Plumbing Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival, you continue to amaze us. We had a summer day on Saturday with 87 degrees and a fall day today with a major windstorm overnight, and you still came out to support us. Thank you to the City of Kennesaw Government, Kennesaw Police Department our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and most of all, our patrons. We look forward to seeing you next April for our 51st.
