We value the artistic process and its capacity to communicate, inspire, and create connections. We value experimentation in both the learning process and in creative expression. We affirm this commitment by providing space and resources for artists and audiences to explore diverse, thought-provoking work together. We value the personal connections formed in support of the performing arts and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and care.

KSC Theatre & Dance Department Presents
HOOKMAN
By Lauren Yee

HOOKMAN is an existential slasher-comedy that takes classic horror movie tropes and violently flips them on their head. Funny and scary, Lauren Yee’s play explores the messy, bloody reality of survivor’s guilt, the profound weight of grief, and the unique anxieties of navigating the world as a young person.

*This show contains adult content: stage blood and references to physical and sexual violence

HOOKMAN is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com

Join us for the Keene State College Music Department Faculty & Guest Recital Series featuring CONCORA, Connecticut’s acclaimed professional 24-voice choir and 12-piece chamber orchestra under the direction of Chris Shepard, joined by the Keene State’s Concert Choir, directed by Sandra Howard with community choir singers from the Monadnock region.

The performance will feature the New Hampshire premiere of Geoffrey Hudson’s “A Passion for the Planet”. At a time when the daily news can feel overwhelming, Hudson’s sweeping oratorio offers something different: a vision of collective possibility. Blending scientific prose, poetry, and sacred texts, A Passion for the Planet gives voice to those who are already doing the difficult work of protecting watersheds, restoring ecosystems, preserving habitats, educating communities, advocating for change, and building a vibrant future.

La Noce d’Alfonse is a celebration of love in all its forms — as tender as it is delightfully kitschy. It’s a freak show of the heart where caustic humor, circus performance, and live music collide in a whirlwind of festive poetry. Each night, a bold — and sometimes risqué — procession unfolds a series of acrobatic, love-infused tableaux, honoring the union of one lucky couple from the audience.

Rooted in a 1970s aesthetic and fueled by constant crowd interaction, the show joyfully overflows with outrageous twists and turns. It bears all the hallmarks of Cirque Alfonse: irreverence, daring, poetry, and live music. The musical world, with its Caribbean flair and unapologetically Québécois folk roots, sets the tone for a vintage wedding that looks toward the future. So put on your finest outfit — we’re counting on you to catch the bouquet !

Over 400 KSC Students and local elementary school kids filled the Redfern’s Main Theatre on Wednesday, April 1 to experience the award-winning multi-media puppet theatre company Manual Cinema’s show “Leonardo! A Wonderful Show about a Terrible Monster” based on the characters from Mo Willems’ beloved books.

This show brought so much joy to our community. Our hearts are bursting with pride and minds are filled with ideas and inspiration! Thank you to Manual Cinema and the KSC Departments of Theatre and Dance, Music, and Education for this incredible collaboration.

We will be bringing more performances like this to the Redfern with the return of the Presenting Series for the 26-27 season. Stay tuned for more info…
