Thank you to everyone who joined us at Lula Southern Cookhouse for Q***r Dinner Club.
There’s something incredibly satisfying about standing back for a moment and hearing that roar of conversation fill the room. Tables of people swapping stories, laughing, making new connections, and actually getting to know one another. That sound is exactly why we do this.
And Lula could not have been a better home for the night. The Southern food was incredible, and their staff welcomed our community with so much warmth and hospitality. We’re so grateful they opened their tables to us and made everyone feel at home.
A huge thank you as well to Liz Davis Counseling for helping us thoughtfully match attendees with tables of people we thought they’d genuinely enjoy meeting. It takes Dinner Club beyond simply putting people in a room together and helps create the kind of connections we started this for.
Thank you for showing up, bringing your stories, and giving a little bit of yourselves to the people sitting across the table.

Q***r Dinner Club is about making our community feel a little smaller in the best possible way. Sitting down with people you might not otherwise meet, sharing a meal, swapping stories, and leaving the night knowing a few more people than you did before.

There’s a sound we love at Q***r Dinner Club: the hum of a room full of conversation.

One of the best things about q***r community is how much we have to offer one another.
We come from different generations, different backgrounds, and different experiences. Some of us have been building q***r spaces for decades. Others are just beginning to find their place in the community. When we actually sit down together, those differences become something pretty special.
Stories get shared. Advice gets passed along. New perspectives challenge old ones. Friendships form between people who might never have met otherwise.
That’s the kind of community we want Q***r Dinner Club to help build. Not just a room full of q***r people, but a place where we actually get to know each other.

The whole point of Dinner Club is to make meeting people in KC’s q***r community a little easier. Show up solo, bring a friend, or grab your crew. We’ll mix up the tables, make introductions, and give you a reason to talk to someone you haven’t met yet.
