Hello all! We have a few quick updates to give you before our event this weekend. The main one is Any talent that halts combat/does AoE damage cannot be used within 3 seconds if it would halt/damage the same person. These are the talents that interacts with.
----Halt----
Vanish
Iaijutsu
Jump
Void walk
Rend R3
Teleport
----AoE Damage----
Volley
Brutal Swing
Multi-shot
Fire breath
Wave slash
Arc

for the game halts this is on the person using it to count the 3 seconds. For the AoE damage its on the person receiving damage to not take damage from the same AoE talent used by the same person. If someone uses a bunch of Arc spells in a row, you will only take damage from the first in 3 seconds but still stumble all the times. Additionally this adds a few changes to some of those talents

Iaijutsu - At Rank 1 its only a hold to people within 5 feet of the user, rank 2 and 3 are whole encounter holds. If someone vanishes you can use it to interrupt their vanish regardless of the 3 seconds from a previous use.

Jump - You can jump within 5 seconds of being hit with magic not just immidiately after. That means if you just jumped and then got hit with another spell after, once the 3 seconds are up you can then jump again you didn't miss your chance. Also gives you the potential to get a shell or something before jumping in!

Challenge - The challenge breaks if the person using stops fighting (i.e. runs away) from those they challenged. This is just and extension of the pre-existing conditions to keep the challenge going.

The goal behind this change is to make combat more diverse and have people use more of their kit. While vanishing 3 times in a row works its not very interesting or counter play-able for the rest of the people, and will reward the skill of choosing when to use your game halting ability and weave in other ones to get to or away from your target. We always love skill and counter play and getting hit with 5 brutal swings in 2 seconds just isn't very counterable!

Enjoy and see ya'll (senior adventurers) this weekend!

Wizard (N/A)
The Wizard Faction Masters of Wilshire are siblings/friends/cousins (their true relationship is uncertain as they have been documented disagreeing about the correct relational tie) that were part of a small nomadic band of Fairies nearly two decades ago called The Wayward Wings. They eventually took up traveling with Gnomish traders, as they happened upon some Gnomes in need of a few enchants, and partnered up from there keeping their merry bands name and starting to make some serious money. The Gnome at the center of the enterprise got big enough to make a brick and mortar storefront and settled down, leaving the Wayward Wings without their inventor, lucky for them, they had picked up a thing or two in their time traveling with him. Eventually they ended up having a magical emporium of magical spells and inventions, they named The Mystic Mirador in Wilshire. They slowly gained notoriety in the city and even used their Mirador (the locals just called the Tower) to help defend the City. Their acclaim grew so large that at some point people were coming to learn from them, despite their lack of interest in instructing, they followed the coin and started taking on students.

Hydromancer - Rillet is an Ahlukaro and J’hum Fairy. They have always taken an interest in the changing states of liquid and how that could be harnessed in various ways. They are one of the oldest, but are one of the more inventive ones and try to leave the admin stuff to the others so they continue their studying.

--Tower Machinist - Can operate the Wizard’s Tower
--Magical Animal Scroll Crafting: Manananggal - Can spend 70 MC points to craft and can use the Manananggal transformation scroll.
Description: A disturbing looking creature, consisting of four hooved legs connected to a beast's trunk, atop which sits a humanoid torso and head with an exposed brain split in two that can open like a clam, a single eye nested within. It has two large leathery wings where the arms would be on the torso. Usually used for recon or aerial combat.
Stats: HP: 10, Swing: 0. Can use all Hydromancy spells while transformed. Split: the torso can detach from the trunk and fly away. The trunk can move independently and must remain within a mile of the torso. If the torso is destroyed while split, it will regenerate after a 1 minute focus on the trunk.
--Terror Eye: can expose the eye in the casters head to cause all targets to become afraid while in line of sight. Once during combat, can use a mass hysteria on all targets within line of sight causing them to frenzy for 10 seconds then be knocked down and disarmed.

Kairomancer - Fulgur is an Ahlukaro and J’hum Fairy. They are somewhere in the middle of the pack as far as age goes, but often find themselves the most preoccupied with the purse, making sure the funds are there to make sure a lack of funds or some improper spending don't inhibit the rest. It was a natural transition since they held the purse with Wayward Wings as well, though then the budget was much tighter, and they seemed to be the only one worried if they could afford the food they were ordering or not.
--Tower Machinist - Can operate the Wizard’s Tower
--Magical Animal Scroll Crafting: Miniature Ellaunus - Can spend 70 MC points to craft and can use the Miniature Ellaunus transformation scroll.
Description: This huge Elk-like creature with massive intricate horns that follow its back is nearly 20 feet tall in this miniature version of it. Usually used for defense of Wilshire.
Stats: HP: 80 After 3 talent uses can heal self for 6. Can use all Kairomancy spells while transformed
--Serene Grace: After 3 talent uses can Renewing Ground for 6 mending within 10’.

Pyromancer - Pyre is an Ahlukaro and J’hum Fairy. One of the younger of the group, most people fell into one job or another and Pyre wasn't sure what they were supposed to do, they loved being with everyone but didn't feel like they contributed. After setting their camp ablaze in the middle of the night due to some bandits trying to make off with Shriv in the night, they decided they lacked any real security and dedicated themselves to honing the more combative portions of their talent.
--Tower Machinist - Can operate the Wizard’s Tower
--Magical Animal Scroll Crafting: Pakula - Can spend 70 MC points to craft and can use the Pakula transformation scroll.
Description: Its body is the shape of a gorilla, however its reptilian in all aspects with an iguana like head. Usually used for taking on larger land based combat.
Stats: HP: 40 can use all Pyromancy spells while transformed. Can Dash leaping up to 10’ in an instant once. All successful attacks heal for 1.
--Improved Pakula: May use Subjugate once on a target. the target cannot act. For 10 seconds or until they take damage. The caster gets +3 damage on all single target attacks while the target is affected. When the caster drops to 0 HP they may continue fighting for 10 seconds. If they go above 9 hp during that time, they will not drop unconscious until they drop to 0 HP again.

Avlomancer - Shrivel (often called Shriv) is an Ahlukaro Fairy and is the only one that doesn't appear to be J’hum, or at least takes less after it then the rest. Despite their size and nickname of “the Runt” they aren't the youngest of them. They had the heaviest hand in making sure they kept the art of Animal Transformation going, and helped most of the others make their scrolls. Some have said that he came up with Rillet's almost entirely on his own, however that contradicts the understood nature of Animal Transformation, and they swear they have seen the creature in real life, on regular occasion, in fact.
--Tower Machinist - Can operate the Wizard’s Tower
--Magical Animal Scroll Crafting: Fire Lizard - Can spend 70 MC points to craft and can use the Fire Lizard transformation scroll.
Description: A lizard the size of a Komodo dragon, with streaks of red along its sides. Its head is hard and wedge shaped, with a pointed lower jaw it can use to dig soft earth or even crack small stones. Usually used for small skirmishes or crowd control.
Stats: HP: 45 can use all Avlomancy spells spells while transformed. Can Dash leaping up to 10’ in an instant once. Can burrow underground for up to 60 seconds, making them untargetable once and can use firebreath from underground. The caster can use Brutal Swing Knock Down once and R3 Firbreath once.
--Consume: Can consume a recently dropped enemy to refresh all creature talents. After consuming an enemy the firebreath damage goes up by 1 to a max of 9

Kinesiomancer - Welly (usually Elly) is an Ahlukaro and J’hum Fairy. Most think they are the oldest, though she never agrees to that, citing Well(y) being their twin as their explanation. Usually keeping tabs of the others, for the most part they are content to go along for the ride. It was her idea to head out on their own, all those years ago after all to escape from something, though she's never admitted what.
--Tower Machinist - Can operate the Wizard’s Tower
--Magical Animal Scroll Crafting: Kraken - Can spend 70 MC points to craft and can use the Kraken transformation scroll.
Description: A magnificent creature the size of a large Carrack with countless te****les and a squid-like head atop a semi-humanoid trunk. Usually used for naval combat.
Stats: DP: 120 can use all Kinesiomancy spells while transformed. The transformation must be used in an adequately large body of water. When transformed the player chooses an out of game “head location” close to the ship. The player is untargetable unless an enemy is below water with them. The player can come out of the water as a te****le with 10 hp (this is part of the main body’s hp) as many times as health permits. Player must keep one foot planted while being a te****le, they can pull back the te****les at any time but must physically return to the head location before becoming a different te****le.
--Hull Destroyer: uses Kinesiomantic pulses through te****les wrapped tightly around any small to moderate seafaring vessel to attack a ship. If the 60 second count isn't stopped by dealing 40 damage to her head the ship is crushed. Can be used OPT. Additionally each te****le gets one used of Rage R1

Neuromancer - Welly (usually Well) is an Ahlukaro and J’hum Fairy. One of the younger of them, he is often the face of the group and handles a lot of the negotiating and sales, but stops there. With Fulgur handling the finances and Pyre playing the bodyguard he doesn't worry about the details, and has taken the lack of responsibility and ran with it. Often slipping away to go try out some new spell technique, scroll, or gift for a bit of extra money when the opportunity presents itself, Shriv noted this and helped them make something that would match well with their sly pursuits.
--Tower Machinist - Can operate the Wizard’s Tower
--Magical Animal Scroll Crafting: Trifflet - Can spend 70 MC points to craft and can use the Trifflet transformation scroll.
Description: Small crustacean that feeds off electricity. Approximately 6 inches to a foot in length. They do not have mouths. The small horns on their back arc with electricity to give off any extra charge they might have and their pointed tail can be stuck into the ground to route extra electricity. Usually used for stealth operations.
Stats: HP: 6 can use all Neuromancy spells while transformed. Can walk on walls. Lightning damage heals instead. Dart: the caster gets a full stack of Lightning but it doesn't deal damage, make noise or produce light once per transformation. Can shed skin and be left at 1 hp instead of 0 once per transformation.
--Improved Trifflet - Can Ionize neuromancy spells. Lightning damage can restore mental fortitude instead of healing. Can use hide twice PT.

Spellbinder: Cestiel is a grey angelucian who was part of a church exchange with Rex Portum and Angelucia. After being there for years he got caught up in some of the city's conflicts and made some choices that kept his teammates safe but darkened his wings a bit. Because of this he was no longer allowed in the church station that he was originally there for but quickly got scooped up by the voice of the baron and hired. Once in wilshire he let his love for rune etching show more and took immediately to caring deeply about his guild mates and those around him. This made him a quick choice when the last spellbinder guild master retired as most of the guild looked to him as a leader and friend already anyway.

--Divine Guidance - Can weave divine energy into scrolls at an added cost
--Unstoppable Flight - Can keep flying as long as he doesn’t attack
--War Runist - Can etch runes onto any surface in combat with a 5 second focus, must be divine and focused on protection

Harbinger: Salem - From younger than he can remember Salem showed promise with spellbinding and combat and was raised in the lower parts of Kor’bah as an assassin guard. While he was successful he never quite took to the assassin fighting style as much as his peers but loved spending time and practicing spellbinding in rooms deep in the caves. He would train with goblins he found down there only later realizing that he was just close enough to Kurra’cha that she was materializing to play with him. Eventually he took an away position in wilshire since his assassin skills weren’t quite what they needed to be to be in the advanced goblin forces he grew up around. This leaves him as a good communication point between the two cities as well as lets him focus more on information broking since he’s around a lot more news in wilshire. While he is the faction master he is still employed by Kor’bah and will be called on for particularly magical assassination jobs.

--Blood poisons - Can inject himself with a poison to then use that poison through a void walk at any point in the encounter. Can stack up to 3 poisons in his body.
--Keeping tabs - Can leave a semi permanent arcane mark on a spellbinder, must use a specific scroll to activate it.
--Witch hunt - Time spent in lower Kor’bah has infused his skin with void. passively can ignore almost all ambient magic, in combat OPEn can ignore magic for 15 seconds. Can’t deal damage during that time

Sentinel: Tridarius is a large and loud Wolfsbein with a coat of brown with black streaks. Growing up in the growling hills he was part of various attempts to strengthen people's connections to the void. While none were considered fully successful thats only because the strange metal implants he received act as a small void gateway and ravage his body when he uses void energy. To combat this he pushes himself to get stronger and more resilient through physical training so he can use what he was given. While he’s ok with the experimentation he went through he knows few people survived it without some manner of permanent disability. In honor of that he strives to constantly be warm, happy, and strong so those around him will never have a need to push themselves as far.

--Overflow - Every two void ability uses he builds up void energy that can be given to people to refresh 1 void. This can stack. Can also spend 1 health to refresh a void. This health can’t be restored until he rests.
-- Overflow - Can shake himself to give allies in 10ft an additive magic DR 1, can be used in conjunction with other shaken abilities
-- True Connection - Can bring himself and one other person into the void for 30 seconds but he is shaken. Can spend 1 health to extend it by another 30 seconds.

Betcha can't guess any of the wizard stuff

Ranger -Fynn- He is one of the guild masters that has been with wilshire the longest. While he doesn’t seem like much he is a savant when it comes to intuition. He can tackle most any situation with clueless ease and generally stops fights before the aggressor can even think about starting because that's less work then actually getting into a fight.

--Unfazable - Can ignore any source of fear or intimidation.
--Vibe check - Can use a talent as a reaction to someone starting combat undoing the action that started combat as though it never happened, can sense if someone in a room has aggressive intentions. OPEn
--Happy Camper - Can ignore any R1 or rankless environmental effects, Can carry 12 custom arrows, and switch out/make 6 of them during a quest. Has additional arrow types.

Marksman -Lythric- he has been part of the wilshire military for decades. Most people around him tended to keep their distance because he is a Felucian but he preferred space anyway. This led him to take more and more solitary roles before finding his speciality in being a military sniper. While he kept to himself and leaned into his Felucian upbringing as a way to feel closer to home the Baron noticed his almost perfect success rate and decided to have him double as a faction master while he wasn’t on missions.

--Dark Concealment - Can hide any person or object in their shadow for up to an encounter. Gives an extra use of Darkness, consumes a use of Darkness.
--When disappearing into a shadow with darkness, can come out of a different shadow within the same encounter. This movement won’t break artillerist. Gives an extra use of Darkness, consumes a use of Darkness.
--Shooting through a shadow allows sniper to hit anyone he knows the exact location of in the encounter or someone in his sight at any distance. Gives an extra use of Darkness, consumes a use of Darkness.

Stalker -Ygnaru- comes from an old allieship the Baron has with a specific tribe of predatorian. He is a proud shaman and strong hunter that was motivated by the stories his father would tell him about the baron and his adventures. He eventually decided to leave home to find better hunts after he got bored of hunting his home forest and went to wilshire to see if he could find his own stories like his fathers. As someone who always took the most dangerous hunts in the guild, he almost accidentally worked his way up the ranks out of personal motivation and love for the hunts he could find across the continent.

--Prepared Hunter - If the target is a creature and he knows he will be hunting it, he can take a roleplay action before leaving to prepare an arrow, that if it hits the target to begin combat, that arrow will deal double damage.
--Shaman’s Blessing - Can bless a group of hunters (targets) before a hunt (quest) to automatically succeed each target’s first RPS of the quest.
--Adaptability (Heavy forest) -
When activating the invisibility from partial cover adaptability can re-appear behind any other tree in the encounter.
Every first attack on a new target is piercing damage
+1 Agile damage
First use of a talent doesn't use up the talent

Nobles - No guild master :( All of the clerks (a specialised steward) are paid by interest on the collective investments of all of the guild members.

Lords - Sinerex: The Lords faction master is not actually nobility. He has been a trusted advisor to many nations during times of difficulty or conflict. Seeing the influence Whilshire holds, he worked his way into the nobles' guild and eventually the Lords' faction. He has been lords faction master for the past nineteen years.

--Using languages can produce body language that strongly implies a feeling or complex position, even amongst other studied nobles
--Can spend 2 mercantile stewards to have a neuro conversation almost immediately
--Can use Erudite R3 to not only gather information but come up with the statistically best solution for a given situation

Knights - Aegus - Aegus is a kin rarely, if ever, seen by most people. He strikes an intimidating and powerful figure, but he leads through camaraderie more than anything else. Nearly a hundred years ago, he lost one of his eyes and his memory. Since that day, he vowed to live life to the fullest and help others around him to do the same. He finds joy in most everything he does. He works closest with a group of fighters that regularly participate in the colosseum. Although Aegus joins them from time to time, his duties as a faction master keep him occupied.

--Can have one extra person in his team
--After a 5 second focus from the person joining, can change his team mid fight from a predetermined pool of 20 people.
--Once per event After giving a speech he can then use an ability, it will then affect everyone who listened to the speech rather than just his team.

Halfway there, rangers next!

Rogue: Nebulous (Referred to as “Neb”, by friends and cohorts). His (or Her) true name and form are unknown, it is unclear if even Wilshire knows their true identity. Constantly used on missions of espionage, infiltration, and information gathering, it is said their personas have achieved Noble status in several prominent kingdoms, though that may just be unfounded fancy. Regardless, their knack to slip in and out of shadows, conversations, and restricted areas is largely attributed to an uncanny ability to more fully adopt a disguise than nearly any rogue.

--Indefinite Disguise - can’t be removed without a full 30 second search
--Multifarious - Can disguise as different classes and get watered down versions of class abilities
-Cleric - 10 second stabilize

-Spellbinder - Void scholar
-Wizard - Arcane scholar
-Warrior - Gains a warriors intimidation
--Instinct - can taste and determine any poison without being affected. Can delay and poison done to him in battle until the end of the encounter

Thief: Garretanus (commonly Garret) is a half Dwarf, half Human that appears like a short male with an unusually gifted beard. Standing 4’ 8” he used his height to his advantage, picking pockets and feigning ignorance as a child when well shaved, or a wounded hunched over war veteran when not. What started as a way to fill in gaps to make bills whole ended up as a lifestyle that he couldn’t back down from. He prided his ability to prepare for a mark and always come prepared, his ambitions aiming ever upward. The common story as to why he stopped chasing personal wealth and joined up as a Wilshire faction master was age caused him to slow and wanted to use his skills he had honed to pay his bills instead of the old manual labor that barely covered rent, and he simply lost his eye back as a guard during a nasty arrest. The more interesting story those in the guild keep adding to and changing goes something like this: he decided the only thing higher than he had already hit was the Baron, and nothing but the mask off his own face would do. After he left to carry out his master plan he came back nearly two weeks later with both a new eye and profession. Oh, and he is REALLY the richest guildmaster, even if not the best paid.

--Treasure Vision - His left eye can sense and identify riches
--Acrobat - Can perform acrobatics without a surface
--Specific bag of tricks - as long as its a mundane item, he has what he needs in the situation once an encounter, uses a use of bag of tricks

Assassin: ********* A soft spoken individual. Their age and kin are not formally known. However given their speech pattern, eyes being seen occasionally as sclera-less, and a substantial amount of rumors, he is believed to be a Sanjoran by most, though does an exceptional job of hiding this fact. Little is known of his past, other than he was hired to assassinate the previous faction master after they either went rogue or were overcome by a malevolent force and they needed someone who could eliminate the now split apart old faction master’s parts (or him and his guards depending on who you believe) simultaneously.

--Phantasmal Blade - Marks any enemy hit with a weapon, can use ghostblade through this mark. Must consume a ghost blade of the same rank for each mark used on activation. Max of 4 marks.
--Light touch - without drawing attention can apply marks without a weapon, can apply marks to objects.
--Phantasmal Aura - Can use Assassinate R3 through marks.

--While using his masterwork smithing he is able to utilize his two maces and can do the following with them.
-Ranged: Sets his mace down on the ground and makes all of his attacks ranged, must wait 5 seconds before each attack. This will last as long as it's in the ground.

Champion: Bane - The general of the Wilshire Army and guide for most young adventurers, he occasionally acts as a military advisor to the Baron. He has resided in wilshire for a while now, living longer than most wolfsbein for some unknown reasons, he has keenly refined his ability to tell when someone he knows is in danger and comes to their aid.

--Battlefield redolant - Can smell allies or enemies within an encounter even if hidden
--Can smell allies blood from anywhere within the region
--If an ally within the encounter falls, bane can dash to them and take the hit that would have dropped them.

Berserker: The troll - It is pretty strongly assumed that he is at least some part bridge troll. We’re not really sure if his name is guttural or if he just laughs when asked because he assumes people already know his name and are just messing with him. No one is really sure if he actually got hired or just walked in one day.

--Big stick - any object he can grab can be wielded as a weapon that has a swing of 3, break of 8, and weight of 3.
--Brutal swing - lug - can grab anyone within a 5 foot cone, restrain, move for 5 feet with, and/or throw them 5 feet.

Cleric:( ゚ Д゚)/: ( ゚ Д゚)/ Loves his job as the guild master. As a youth, he was saved by an adventurer and always dreamed of becoming one. Unfortunately, due to his fear of weapons, he was never able to become one, so he instead worked hard and honed his skills as an interplanetary invoker so he could one day serve as a medic for the adventurers. He eventually worked his way up to guild master and started recruiting friends and family. Despite not having a central location, the clerics' guild is the guild with the most employees. As the need grew for healers in Wilshire( ゚ Д゚)/ sold everything he had to hire and train more clerics. Despite lacking a penny to his name( ゚ Д゚)/ finds himself the richest guild master in Wilshire.

--Slippery Meta-goblin - Can move up to 10 feet in a metamorph within the same object/the ground
--You called? - Can hear his name (or any mispronunciation of his name) within a 20-mile radius.
--Limb regrowth potion - Can create a potion that can cause a person to regrow a limb given the right, very rare materials.

Paladin: Emric: He is a simple man with complex taste. During his youth in littleton he was hired by a group of mercenaries as a cook. He had always wanted to see the world, and this seemed like a good way to do it. After some time, the mercenaries began teaching him how to defend himself. Emric was quite gifted when it came to defending himself, but he had little appetite for violence. Eventually he felt like he had seen enough of the world and decided he wanted to settle down somewhere, and Wilshire seemed as good a place as any. After a long time cooking for the Paladin faction he worked his way to the top. There is some speculation that he only got the position after giving the voice some stew.

--Restoring Ward: When he uses a talent he may consume additional talent uses per ward holder to give those with the ward a free use of a Rank 1 or Rankless talent they have a purchase of.
--Extra Ward: Gain 1 additional protective ward to hand out.
--Dr. Munchiologist - While he has food in hand and is actively chewing, DR damage goes to a minimum of 0 rather than 1.

Soothsayer - Hieesha - This ethereal showed up one day nearly 15 years ago with more expertise in interplanery invocations than anyone else in the clerics’ guild or factions. He spends most of his time studying and honing his skills so that when his help is most needed, he will be ready.

--Restoration Tome - Can spend 1,000 MC points to produce a Restoration Tome and teach a Soothsayer to use it - Can focus for 10 seconds to refresh all R1 and rankless abilities other than mending. This can only be done in combat. Each additional refresh takes 10 more seconds of focus than the previous one. Resets to 10 seconds at the end of the quest
--Mending Tome - Can spend 1,000 MC points to produce a Mending Tome and teach a Soothsayer to use it - The player can focus for 10-seconds and mend 4 immediately after the focus. The player can move while focusing, and this can only be used in combat
--Healing Tome and teach a Soothsayer to use it - Can spend 1,000 MC points to produce a Healing Tome - The player may use 2 Mending points to heal 1 HP.
