The OM Film Fest will take place at the
Cinemark Palace Theater at the Plaza,
Kansas City, MO - September 4 - 6, 2015
The goal of the OM Film Fest is to bring the independent film industry together as a single, coherently functioning community (OM Community), in order for “indie” filmmakers to make new and greater connections with an ever growing moviegoing audience. For the OM Film Fest, any ind
ependent filmmaker can submit the marketing material for his/her film, i.e., the official movie trailer, news articles and interviews about the film, awards, backgrounds on the filmmakers and actors, etc. via FilmFreeway. The OM Film Fest Process
•The marketing materials for all submitted films are initially reviewed to ensure a base-line quality.
•The marketing materials of the films that pass that review are distributed to the local OM community/moviegoing audience via direct email campaigns, social networks, and this OM Film Fest website.
•The moviegoing audience then votes for the films they want to see in the OM Film Fest.
•Those films achieving a threshold number of votes are selected to be screened at the OM Film Fest at the Cinemark Palace Theater at the Plaza, Kansas City, MO on Labor Day weekend, September 4-6, 2015.
•Those selected films then go on sale to the OM community, and the general public until they are sold out.
•This process continues until all the available time slots of the local OM Film Fest are filled. Thus, the local OM Film Fest is most likely sold out before the festival begins.
