May 14, 2017- We are excited to announce the 9th Annual KC Catwalk: Mardi Gras Edition will be held Sunday, September 24, 2017. This fashion show is presented by Angel Ice and will be held at Swope Park Bandstand (at Meyer Blvd and Pavilion Rd in Swope Park), in Kansas City, Missouri. The KC Catwalk has been successful for 8 years and we plan to continue the tradition going in 2017. This charity fashion was created to benefit Angel Ice’s 501 (c) 3 non-profit, Let’s Learn, which gives away scholarships, holds free and reduced classes for the community and helps to fund the local school district. The KC Catwalk always brings something unique and different that you don’t see at the other fashion shows including unique themes, celebrities, amazing performers, top model competitions and beautiful designs from all over the country.
The 9th Annual KC Catwalk is going to be epic and definitely a show to remember. The idea came from Angel Ice living in Lousiana and wanting to bring a piece of that back to Kansas City and bring the community together. This year’s KC Catwalk fashion show will be hosted by Shay Moore of Hot 103.3 Jamz and Shavonne Owens, aka Ms. Bling from Bling Radio in Atlanta and have a Mardi Gras theme. There will also be a parade and after party with amazing performers. DJ Trakcstarr will be our DJ again this year! There will be free food and school supplies given away on behalf of Let’s Learn. Buyers and media are scheduled to attend, making this a great networking opportunity for models and designers to further their career. Fabulous prizes will be given away during the show in the top model completion as well as to the audience. The show sold out last year so make sure you get your tickets early. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Open casting call for models will be June 16 and June 23 from 5-8pm at the JFK Community Center-1310 N. 10th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.
