This is the Parent Teacher Student Organization's biggest annual fundraiser. An Evening in Paris is a MAJORLY THEMED party and auction extravaganza like no other, WITH OVER 600 ATTENDEES. You will find yourself surrounded by Kansas City’s most entrepreneurial and creative crowd while sampling our most innovative local restaurants, spirited libations, and allowing yourself to be seduced by prime silent and live auction items. Oh, and did we mention there will be dancing?

One week later… and we are still in awe of the magic of EIP 2026: Cirque. ✨🎪 Because of this incredible community, Evening in Paris raised more than $175,000 in support of Académie Lafayette — our most successful year yet!

These funds directly support the unique programs and experiences that make AL so special, including international teacher recruitment, visas and relocation, transportation access for students, and so much more. In addition, our community raised $35,000 for Fund-a-Need to upgrade equipment in all three campus nursing offices.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, bid, sponsored, performed, planned, decorated, emceed, or cheered us on: merci. This unforgettable night was only possible because of you.

A special thank you goes to our extraordinary EIP committee and the dozens of volunteers whose creativity, time, and dedication brought Cirque to life. Your love for this school shines brightly.

We are also deeply grateful to our generous sponsors whose support helped make this incredible evening possible.

Evening in Paris 2026: Cirque is coming up on May 2, and we are still seeking Classroom Project Coordinators for this year’s event!

Each K-5 homeroom donates special class art project or themed basket for the silent auction, and they are always some of the most meaningful (and most bid-on) pieces of the night.

It does not have to be complicated. Think a custom piece of pottery signed by the whole class, a class memory book filled with handwritten notes about “what we love about AL”, or a themed basket inspired by the kiddos “dream day” ideas. Simple, creative and full of personality.

On May 2, The Gallery at Power and Light will be transformed into an immersive party experience that feels straight out of a cirque dream 🎭🎠 You will not want to miss out!

This year’s theme leans into vintage French cirque, so expect a little drama, a little glamour and a lot of fun once the doors open 💃🕺 It’s the kind of night where you can dress up more than usual, stay out a little later and celebrate our school in a big way!

✨ Volunteers needed ✨ Our auction is the heart of the Evening in Paris celebration, and we are looking for a few helping hands to make it sparkle. We have all the materials ready to go—we just need volunteers willing to connect with local businesses and help secure auction items.
