Our liberation isn't complete. As we spend time with family and friends today, remember the blood, sweat and tears our grandmothers poured into the work - and don't dishonor them by carrying water for the forces of white supremacy, patriarchy, or colonization.
250 years of American 🍇, k!ll!ng, and oppression. 250 years and its still not safe for me to walk alone at night. For Black children to be inside their cars, black women in their beds. Brown families plucked from the streets for their daughters to be 🍇 by ICE agents.
Let this reminder not bring shame, but awaken your righteous anger. The mother calls, through your blood and bones. She says
Listen, daughter. It's time to take your power back.
