Getting the exact shape you want takes practice and patience. Whether that be with a Spirograph, or with your quilting rotary cutter…it’s the same idea.
One small slip and your whole project can be derailed. 😩

Solving that problem is the whole basis of an AccuQuilt cutting system. You layer your fabric, run it through, and get a precise, clean cut every single time.

No slipping. No uneven edges. A lot less strain on your wrist and shoulder.

Plop plop, fizz fizz. Oh what a relief it is. 🎶

For you early morning walkers, we will start your day off right with beautiful walks in the cool morning air.

And after a long day of sitting and sewing, it IS a relief to get up and move a little bit.

That’s a big part of why we are doing evening walks as part of the Kanab Quilt Retreat. 🏜️

These will be optional gentle walks through the beautiful town and refreshing evening air, where we’ll have a chance to just chat, move, and enjoy a bit of Kanab history! 🚶

Home Ec class back in middle school/jr high did not get nearly enough credit. 🧑‍🍳🪡🏠

It’s where a lot of us first learned that we could actually make something different and fun.

The 6 classes at the Kanab Quilt Retreat are giving you that same opportunity…..without the grade at the end. 😄

Classes are optional add-ons. You can sign up for one or two, or skip them entirely and spend the whole week on your own project. Nobody is going to pressure you either way. 🥳

You have a piece of fabric sitting in your stash that is too special to cut into. ✂️ You know the one.

At some point you’ve probably been tempted to ask the Magic 8 Ball if you would ever actually use it. 🎱 "Cannot predict now ."

That is not a fabric problem. That is a creativity problem that comes from being interrupted every time you try to sew.

Would you dare show your sewing scissors to the woman who taught you to sew right now? 😰

Most of us were taught to take care of our tools, and heaven help anyone who tried to cut paper with the fabric scissors!! ⚠️

We’re making it easy to get that often put-off job done at the Kanab Quilt Retreat. We’ve set up a special deal with our local scissor professional for you:
✂️$5 per pair of scissors
✂️$7 per pair of pinking shears
✂️Pick up on Tues of the retreat and they’ll be brought back nice and sharp on Thurs!

Make mom proud (or at least avoid the “dull scissors” lecture!).😉

Maybe it was with your brand-new Easy Bake Oven? You mixed, baked, and had something finished that you did yourself. (edible or not, you were still proud, right? 😉)

Maybe because you didn’t have your seat belt on…… 😉

Kanab has the kind of scenery that would have kept your face glued to the window as a kid, and still can now.
We’re not going to force you to stay inside the ENTIRE time at the Kanab Quilt Retreat. (Unless you really want to)
