Kanab was Hollywood's favorite backlot for decades. Westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza were filmed right in these canyons.

The landscape looks just as good in person as it did on a Saturday afternoon when you were a kid.

That’s a big part of what makes Kanab a great place for our retreat. You’re not stuck in a huge conference building with tons of traffic racing by.

It’s peaceful, calm, quaint, and perfect for getting your creative mojo back if it’s been missing for a while.

Cutting out fabric is a lot like a grade school Spirograph. ➿

You get everything lined up just right and start out strong, but somewhere along the way it always goes a little off.

Cutting by hand is fine as long as you’ve never used an Accuquilt. We'll have one at the retreat for you to try. 😃

Find out if you like having perfect symmetry in every piece. ✂️

Traffic, Shoulder pain 💥, A husband expecting dinner…

😆OK, we can’t do anything about the other two, but we can help with the shoulder pain.

At the Kanab Quilt Retreat, you can sign up for a comfort session, where we will look at your specific sewing needs.

What is causing you pain while you do the thing you love? We’ll show you simple little ways to alleviate it. 😌

Plus, there will be an on-site massage therapist doing mini-sessions for a day or two!!

Everyone has “That Quilt”.

You know, the one you got super excited about… but never quite finished. And now it’s been sitting there for years, still not done.
Maybe you have a stack of them. (no shame)

These country roads are not in West Virginia… 🏜️

But they sure are beautiful in their own way.

Kanab is a desert dream with wide open spaces, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and fantastic red rock formations.

So, while we are going to be quilting at our quilt retreat, we’ll also be offering morning/evening walks. 🚶

Get out in nature, get grounded, and then get creative. That is a formula for health and longevity if we’ve ever heard one.
