The first one was insane.

Legends like John Garcia, Earthless, Acid King and Dead Meadow came out to the desert and turned Mojave Experience into something people are still talking about months later. Heavy riffs under open skies, art everywhere, dust in the air, and a crowd that came ready for it.

Now we do it again. Bigger. Louder. Three full days in the Mojave.

Big Scenic Nowhere doesn’t hit the stage often, but when they do it’s something else entirely. Built from deep roots in the desert rock underground, the band brings together Bob Balch of Fu Manchu, Tony Reed of Mos Generator and Pentagram, along with Gary Arce and Bill Stinson of Yawning Man. What starts as heavy psychedelic groove drifts into wide open improvisation, fuzzed out riffs and hypnotic jams that feel made for the desert after dark. Rare, immersive and impossible to pin down, Big Scenic Nowhere is the kind of band you don’t just watch live — you disappear into it.

Heavy psych legends under desert skies.

Dead Meadow brought their hypnotic wall of sound out to the Mojave this past March and completely owned the night. The riffs rolled across the desert while the crowd stayed locked in from start to finish.

That’s what Mojave Experience is about. Bands that belong out here and an atmosphere you can’t recreate anywhere else.

More legends are coming to the Mojave in 2027.

One thing that matters to us with Mojave Experience is keeping a real connection to the desert community. We make a point to highlight local vendors, artists, nonprofits, and small businesses that help give this place its identity.

One organization we’re especially proud to partner with is the Joshua Tree National Park Association They do incredible work for both the park and the local community through conservation, education, and cultural programs that help protect and preserve the desert for future generations. Having them involved with Mojave Experience means a lot to us because this festival has always been about more than just music.
