Whitaker Racing is a family racing team with a legacy spanning many years, beginning with Mike at a young age. Mike and Tina share a deep love for racing and spent many of their early date nights at the track. Off the track, they are also the owners of a heating and air company that has proudly served the community for over 30 years!
When their oldest daughter, Heather, was born, Mike stepped away from racing to focus on familyācoaching Heather in basketball and supporting her in every sport she pursued. Mike and Tina spent countless nights cheering her on from gym bleachers and sidelines.
Fourteen years later, their youngest daughter, Alexis, was born. Alexis played several sports as well, but knee issues at a young age eventually led her away from them. By then, Mike and Tina had returned to racing, and Alexis quickly fell in love with it. She started in a junior dragster and, once old enough, made the jump into a top dragsterācontinuing the Whitaker Racing family tradition.
Our team has continued to grow over the years, with the addition of some incredible sponsors along the way. Alexis has been a proud member of the Right Trailers Motorsports team for the past three years and has also carried a Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels sponsorship.
Mike and Alexis are Fuel Factory dealers serving the East Tennessee area, offering a full lineup of racing fuels. They are also now providing nitrous bottle fillings for racers in the area.
