Mud Run In The Sun

We appreciate all the support over the last two years and this year. But to have a very successful mud run it requires a large number of runners and this year unfortunately we have not had enough to sign up and understand that there are several other events going on that weekend. So we will be postponing the event scheduled for April 9, 2016. We will let everyone know when we will reschedule and hope to see everyone then. If you have already signed up we will issue a full refund. Thank you for your support and may God Bless you!

Ok, so we have set the date for this year's event. It will be April 9, 2016. Start time will be at 8:00am for the first waive of runner, and then 8:20 and 8:40. You can register at the recreation the day of the event, however prices increase that day to $40.00 for 15 and older and to $25.00 for ages 5-14. You can also register at http://www.active.com/jonesboro-la/running/races/mud-run-in-the-sun-2016. This year we hope to make it bigger and better. We have some great new ideas for the obsticales. Remember this is a family fun event so everyone please come out and have some FUN in the MUD!

Less then two week until the run. It's not to late to sign up. You can sign up all the way until the day of the race (April 11,2015), however to guarantee you a shirt you must sign up by this coming Friday, April 3, 2015 at 5:00 pm. You can sin up at active.com, stop by anytime fitness in Jonesboro or Jackson parish bank.

Ok so we are about two months away from Mud Run in the Sun 2015. This year the race will be benefiting our veterans again along with the Kaitlin Boyett Memorial Scholarship Fund. The cost of the race is only $35 for adults, $25 for 11-14 year olds, and $10 for 10 and under. The course this year will be different from the last, even though you will still have some of the same challenging obstacles. Some of these obstacles you will find that you may need a friend to help you get through them so be sure to invite someone to tag along. And no worries if you don't want to run it then just walk it and have FUN in the MUD!! We are expecting a good crowd this year, so in preparation for that we are going to have at least three different waives. The first waive will start at 8am, then the second will be at 8:20 followed by the 8:40. The first one any person wanting to run the race for time should enter this heat.
