This week’s Band of the Week is Compulsed, bringing brutal death metal out of South Jersey to Shamrock Slaughter Fest 2027.

COMPULSED:

With members having backgrounds in Waking the Cadaver, Ground, Co**se Hoarder, Embludgeonment and more, there’s a lot of experience behind this lineup.

Their debut full-length, Amalgamated Anguish, was released in August 2025 and delivers nine tracks of fast, technical and aggressive brutal death metal with a strong early-2000s influence.

Compulsed may be a newer name, but there’s nothing inexperienced about this lineup. They’ve already established exactly what this band is about, and in March they bring it straight to Shamrock Slaughter Fest.

We’ve been getting A LOT of messages asking who the headliners are and when they’re getting announced.

We’re keeping those details close for just a little longer while everything gets worked out behind the scenes.

What we can tell you — they won’t disappoint.

But if you’re waiting on a headliner to decide whether Shamrock Slaughter Fest is worth showing up for, take another look at the lineup we’ve already announced. There’s a ridiculous amount of talent on this bill before the final names are even added.

We’re building the entire weekend to be worth the trip, not just the last band of the night.

Coming out of Texas, Stabbing has become one of the names pushing brutal death metal forward, bringing an absolutely punishing live show and a sound that fits exactly what Shamrock Slaughter Fest is about.

Carrion Throne

Every week leading up to Shamrock Slaughter Fest, we’re going to highlight one of the bands joining us in Joliet and give you a chance to get familiar with them before March.

We’re kicking things off with Chicago-based CARRION THRONE.

Carrion Throne brings together brutal death metal, slams and breakdowns, low gutturals and blast beats, while incorporating black metal chords and ambient and dissonant elements into their sound.

Formed under the Carrion Throne name in 2019, the band has continued building its catalog with Descending Firmament, The Feast of Human Vices and their self-titled 2025 EP.

Carrion Throne will be joining us in Joliet for Shamrock Slaughter Fest 2027, March 19–20 at The Forge.
