I keep forgetting to post the Organization for Tonight!
We are giving proceeds to Compassion Heart ministries.
The Compassionate Heart vision was founded by its Executive Director, Donna Bunce. Donna’s first child was diagnosed cognitively impaired and mildly autistic in 1997 when he was 5 years old. Feeling overwhelmed with grief, loss and hopelessness, Donna prayed that God would give her the strength, wisdom and patience to persevere. As she watched her son grow into a teenager, he began to struggle even more with the lack of friendships, relationships and social opportunities. She dreamed and prayed for a place where he and others with disabilities could find friends, acceptance and a place to just have fun. In 2006, God answered that prayer and fulfilled that dream by leading her to create and establish such a place and it is Compassionate Heart Ministries. Since that time, hundreds of families with children (ages 14-45) with mild to moderate disabilities have found a home and a family of support at Compassionate Heart Ministries!
