Welcome, climbers!
Thank you for participating in the Missouri 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Your participation is welcomed and appreciated. Funds raised from this event will support the families of fallen public safety officers here in Missouri. Sadly, already this year, we have lost 13 public safety officers in the line of duty.
On 9/11/2001, America made a promise to “Never Forget”. You embody that promise through your participation.
Information you will need to know for tomorrow’s event (Oct. 18, 2025).
Climb Location: Division of Fire Safety 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, Mo 65102
Registration will open at 7:15 AM
(T-shirts will be handed out at registration, first come to those who registered earliest. Shirts were ordered several weeks ago and with the influx of recent registrations, it is possible we may not have your exact size for those who recently registered)
Opening Ceremonies will begin at 8:00 AM in the courtyard outside the building.
(we will do our best to get everyone in the building lobby in case of inclement weather)
Climb Instructions:
You will start in stairwell 1(has Pictures in it), climb to the 13th floor.
(If you want to just climb up, you need to ride the elevator down to the 1st floor and repeat the climb.) That will need to be done 10 times
If you choose to climb up and down, you will need to cross over when you are on the 13th floor and climb down the other stairwell. This will need to be done 5 times.
Once the climb is completed, someone will shake your hand, giving you a medal of completion.

Get your picture taken in front of the sign
Bottled Water is available on the 13th floor – thank you to the Girl Scouts for assisting.
Bathrooms are located on the 6th and 13th floor
