Another magical Mahjong Mingle on Main Street this evening!! 25 players and seven volunteers…..what an amazing gift to our community! Once again we had ladies from Franklin, Jeanerette, and New Iberia reminding us that community extends beyond town limits. This extraordinary effort has been carried out by board members Mandy Clement and Donna Aucoin and their amazing volunteers who show up the night before to set up in the Citizens Bank building, bring festive snacks, help guide and encourage play, clean up after all the fun….and then begin planning the next Mahjong Mingle to benefit our mission of renewing and enhancing the town!! We will post more about our volunteers and the next dates for September play so stay tuned and keep building community wherever you are!
