On Tuesday night, the PJHS Chorus gave an outstanding final concert for the 25-26 school year. The program included crowd pleasers like "The Never Ending Story", "Sign of the Times", and "A Thousand Miles." Our young performers shone brightly as they demonstrated the musicianship and professionalism they learned over the course of this year.

Even Mrs. Tolar performed, with her former classmate, Mr. Clark, the duet “Only Us” as a parting gift to her 8th graders.

To my 7th grade students, I am so proud of your progress this year. You have come so far and I already have exciting plans for next year.

To my 8th graders, I cannot even begin to express how much I will miss you next year. You have become such confident performers, in the choral world and in our theatrical productions. I am so excited to watch you continue to blossom in high school. Stay in touch!

Last night, The Little Mermaid Jr. closed. These kids exceeded my expectations by miles! They embodied their characters and put on five seamless shows. They performed for almost 300 6th graders during JMS’ tour of PJHS and, with over 800 people in our audience over the course of our four other shows, this is our most well-attended production yet.

I’m so proud. This was the first show I’ve ever done AGAIN and I was so lucky to have my original Flounder from 2018 in the audience. I’m so exhausted, but so proud. That’s a wrap on the 25-26 season.

Dive with us "Under the Sea" at Pickens Junior High School with Ariel, Sebastian, and all your favorite characters in this year’s enchanting, musical adaptation of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.

Follow the headstrong mermaid's journey to the surface, where she risks it all for love in this magical production that is perfect for audiences of all ages.

You have four chances to catch the show this week at Pickens Junior High School in Jasper, GA.

We have some awesome students representing PJHS at the District 9 Honor Chorus event at Dawson County High School!

They rehearse all afternoon today and then all day tomorrow with a concert at 5 pm.

I could not be more proud of our talented casts of “The Big Picture” and “How To Get Away With A Murder Mystery”. They performed three wonderful performances for almost 300 people! Some of these kids are 7th graders who have never been in a show before and they rocked it!

Now it’s time to bask for a few days and then pivot to this years musical, “The Little Mermaid Jr”!

The 9th annual PJHS Dinner Theatre Fundraiser is right around the corner.

This year’s show is called “How To Get Away With A Murder Mystery” and will be performed on Thursday (Nov. 13th) and Friday (Nov. 14th) in the PJHS auditorium. There will also be a short skit beforehand called “The Big Picture”.

Tickets are $10 each (includes dinner and the show) and can be purchased at the door or in advance at PJHS!

The doors open at 5:30 pm for dinner and the show starts at 7:00 pm!

All proceeds directly benefit the PJHS Chorus and Drama programs.ore
