We’re sending so much love and congratulations to these incredible artists on their well-deserved The New York Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies nominations and awards!

Huge shoutout to Omari Oricci Wiles (with Arturo Lyons) for winning the 2025 Outstanding Choreographer/Creator award, and to Soles of Duende for their 2024 nominations in both Outstanding Choreographer/Creator and Outstanding Sound Design or Musical Composition. What an honor, and what a moment!

We feel especially proud because Omari Wiles (with Les Ballet Afrik) and Soles of Duende have both shared their artistry with us at the Jamestown Dance Festival in 2024 and 2025. To witness their work up close, in community, on our stages, and in our shared spaces was truly special.

We’re grateful for the generosity, brilliance, and heart you brought to us, and we’re cheering you on loudly as you receive the recognition you’ve long deserved.

Sukanya Burman Dance is honored to share that we have been awarded a 2026 Tourism Product Development Grant from Chautauqua County in support of the Jamestown Dance Festival

This support affirms the importance of dance, cultural equity, and community-centered arts in our region. It allows us to continue building a festival that brings people together, uplifts diverse voices, and strengthens the creative landscape of Chautauqua County.

We extend our sincere thanks to Chautauqua County, the County Executive’s office, the review committee, and everyone involved in recognizing the value of this work. We are grateful to our artists, board, collaborators, audiences, and community partners whose trust and dedication in this program fuels this vision every day.

Les Ballet Afrik began their Western NY tour in Jamestown, September 5th. They were invited as the headlining company for the 2nd Annual Jamestown Dance Festival, and absolutely brought down the house that evening!
