As a new addition to our IC3 shows, we recently announced the creation of THE DAN T AWARD, which recognizes and awards indie comic book creators that show exceptional promise and commitment to their craft. The award will be granted at each in-person IC3 show.

Today, as part of our IC3@Providence show on September 26, we're proud to announce that KARL SLOMINSKI () is the recipient of THE DAN T AWARD!

The field of applicants was incredibly strong, but the award's Voting Committee agreed that Karl's diversity and energy really resonated and that his skill with single illustrations is matched by dynamic sequential work.

Karl will be exhibiting at table -80, so make sure to give him a visit and a high-five!

ABOUT THE DAN T AWARD
THE DAN T AWARD recognizes and awards indie comic book creators that show exceptional promise and commitment to their craft. The award is named after the late Dan Tancredi, who was a passionate champion of comic book creators and art, most especially indie creators and emerging talent. The award honors Dan by mirroring his methods and beliefs: relentlessly engage large numbers of indie creators; identify unique and promising talent; and share them with as many people as possible in an orchestrated effort to support the creator.
