One of Our rescue Muscovy ducks moved into the chicken coop and started nesting. We knew we had to protect them, so we relocated the chickens and removed the ramp to help keep predators out and give her a safe place to settle in.
And yโallโฆ she did it!! Her babies are here ๐ฅ
We are so proud of her and so excited to watch these little ones grow.
Fun fact: Muscovy ducks are incredible mothers. They are known for being very attentive and protective, often raising large clutches of ducklings and keeping them close at all times. Unlike most ducks, they donโt quack much. Instead, they make soft cooing and hissing sounds, which makes them extra unique.
There is just something so special about getting to witness moments like this out here. It is a reminder of how beautiful and intentional nature really is ๐ค
