One of many reasons to work with a graphic designer. Jeremy from Northland UP Apparel Apparel stepped up without hesitation to help the Ishpeming Kriskindlmarkt get off the ground! He took the inspiration from the logo he created for us and transformed it into this beautiful, highly detailed design for our very first Kriskindlmarkt mug.

The craftsmanship, character, and level of detail are things you just don’t get from an AI-generated logo. Every element was thoughtful and intentional, and when the mug printing company presented a challenge, he adapted the design to meet their specifications without compromising the vision.

We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and can’t wait for everyone to see them in person!

More than a donation, your investment helps a start-up community event, local businesses, and the future of our area. Each hut will be built by local students through the Marquette-Alger CTE program and Northern Michigan University - Construction Management program, giving hands-on experience and supporting the next generation of skilled trades.

Introducing a New Holiday Tradition: The Kriskindl Cheermeister!

Next week, we’ll begin taking nominations for the very first ever Kriskindl Cheermeister! This is a community-nominated honor recognizing someone who truly embodies the spirit of giving, community pride, and holiday cheer. Nominees must be located in Ishpeming or Marquette County and be 21 years of age or older.

The Cheermeister will serve as the ceremonial ambassador of the Ishpeming Kriskindlmarkt, helping bring the magic to life, from ribbon cutting to tapping of the golden keg to Ishpeming holiday parade grand marshal and helping welcome guests by celebrating the magic of the market season.

And yes….only the selection committee will know their identity which will remain a secret until the big reveal…..

The Kriskindl Cheermeister’s Ball (Date TBA, Mather Ballroom) A brand-new, festive evening celebrating our sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders culminating in the official unveiling of the Cheermeister.

In true U.P. fashion, the Cheermeister’s ceremonial attire is proudly presented in partnership with Stormy Kromer, featuring a custom “Santa Kromer” hat, classic Double Mackinaw coat, golden ceremonial sash and other signature elements fit for the season.

This is more than a title, it’s set to be one of the biggest honors bestowed in Marquette County for someone who gives their time, talent, and/or treasures.
