Texas Hoedown Country Dance Competition The Texas Hoedown is an ACDA sanctioned Country & Western dance competition. The Texas Hoedown is a Country and Western dance tradition dating back to 1990.

A fully-sanctioned American Country Dance Association qualifying event, the Texas Hoedown offers an exciting weekend of Country & Western dance competition, including partner (pro-am, pro-pro, and couples), team, and line dance, numerous workshops, and plenty of opportunities to social dance! I’ve been spending some time this Memorial Day helping the Easter Bunny get ready for the 2027 Texas Hoedown which will be held at the Westin DFW Airport in Irving, Texas. Be sure to mark your calendars for March 25–28, 2027—we’re sure it’s going to be a hoppin’ good time!

And for those of you who will be joining us, the fun doesn’t have to wait until March!

Take your best guess at how many eggs are in the bag for a chance to win a certificate for one free Texas Hoedown item from the merchandise table (winner must pick up the prize in person at the 2027 event).

Here’s how it works:
-The closest guess without going over wins
-Entries must be submitted by midnight on May 31st
-The winner will be announced on June 1st

So put your counting skills to the test and see if you can crack the case!
