Fair planning for 2026 is officially under way!

The first order of business for 2026 will be our Market Steer Weigh in on February 7. We would LOVE to expand our market steer and livestock auction.

Notes:
-Steers need to be tame and have a halter on at weigh in.
-There is no minimum weight requirement at this weigh in (although we recommend a 500-600lb steer to guarantee the 900lb minimum at fair weigh in).
-If you are not a member of a 4H or FFA group, you can still show and sell as open, as long as all requirements are met.
**The Viburnum Bluejay 4H Club out of Viburnum has graciously offered to extend an invitation to their beef program for anyone that would like to join or just wants to learn.

I am posting a link to a USDA Youth Loan specifically for 4H/FFA projects. These funds can go towards purchasing an animal, feed and any other costs associated with the project.

Please feel free to reach out to the Fair-board with any questions.

We cannot wait to see you all in 2026!

The Iron County Lions Club Fairboard would like to send its biggest thank you to all of our sponsors and our community for another successful fair year! The weather may not have been on our side, but that didn’t stop you all from showing up.
We would also like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to all of our 4-H and FFA kids and their parents for their hard work on the barn cleanups.
This year at the Livestock Auction, local businesses and community members came together to raise over $30,000 for these kids to continue their passions in the agriculture world!
