Run Iron Mountain More than just a race. Run Iron Mountain is a celebration of community, courage, and connection. Come. Run. With. Us.

Join us Saturday, September 26, 2026, and be part of something special. This race is located in Iron Mountain, MI-located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The Half Marathon course will offer scenic diversity as it travels through historic Downtown Iron Mountain, over the Chapin Pit bridge, alongside beautiful Lake Antoine and the Fumee Lake Natural Area, around the rest of Lake Antoine and back to the downtown area. Stay tuned for more information as we celebrate our 10th anniversary!

Today was race day, the moon is out and we are calming down for the evening .... but what you see today is just the tip of the iceberg.

Behind every runner, every finish line, every water station and every smile are hundreds of hours of planning, preparation and hard work throughout the entire year.

And behind all of that is our incredible board and our amazing volunteers.

So many of the people who give their time to Run Iron Mountain are passionate about the causes we support causes that have touched their lives, their families, or simply their hearts. They show up because they care and because they believe in giving back to their community.

Because Run Iron Mountain isn’t just about today.

It’s about making a difference long after the finish line. The money raised goes right back into our community, supporting causes that matter, cancer support and senior scholarships.

To our amazing board who puts in countless hours throughout the entire year thank you.

To every volunteer who showed up early, stayed late, filled a water station, handed out bibs, directed traffic, cheered on runners or helped behind the scenes thank you.

There is so much work that goes into making one race day happen, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Today we celebrate our runners, but we also celebrate the people behind the scenes who make it all possible.

🏃‍♀️AND THAT’S A WRAP ON RUN IRON MOUNTAIN 2026! 🏃‍♂️

What a day! From the tiniest toddlers crossing that finish line 🥹 to runners accomplishing BIG goals they’ve worked so hard for today had a little bit of everything.

There were smiles, laughs, tired legs, high-fives, happy tears, and SO much fun! 🍂 We watched people push themselves to the limit, dig deep through the tough moments, and cross that finish line stronger than they thought possible.

Cherry on top? Knowing that the money raised through Run Iron Mountain goes right back into our community supporting local charities and student scholarships. That’s what makes this race so special.

Thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, sponsor, photographer, supporter, and family who showed up and made today happen.

Iron Mountain showed up BIG. And we couldn’t be more grateful. 🏃‍♀️🍁

The streets of Downtown Iron Mountain are getting ready, the barricades are going up, and we can officially say… RUN IRON MOUNTAIN IS TOMORROW!

The excitement is building and we can’t wait to see our runners, walkers, families, volunteers and supporters out there! ❤️

Whether you’re running the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K or 1 Mile Family Fun Run, tomorrow is all about getting outside, having fun and celebrating our community. 🏅
