51ST STATE BUCKS

51ST STATE BUCKS Over the past 25 years, our mission has been “Feed the Hungry” along with taking 1 disable youth and 1 wounded warrior on a hunt each year.

WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE OFFER

CONSERVATION, COMPASSION, and COMMUNITY
Buckmasters American Deer Foundation (BADF) stands strong in the face of anything that threatens these values and our hunting heritage. The BADF, a non-profit organization formed in 1991, gives back to wildlife and the hunting sportsmen who conserves the species. What sets BADF apart is that the majority of the funds raised by our

nationwide chapters directly benefits people in their community. DISABLED HUNTERS SERVICES
Hunting is a crucial part of our relationship with nature. With the involvement of BADF and its local chapters, hundreds of physically challenged hunters have experienced what had previously been distant dreams. BADF is committed to seeing that anyone, regardless of their physical capabilities, can enjoy the outdoors. Whether it's providing hunting opportunities for the physically challenged or using cutting-edge equipment for these fellow sportsmen, BADF is always ready to help. PROJECT VENISION
BADF believes that one way to positive examples in our communities is through our cornerstone program - Project Venison. Funding from BADF chapters allows hunters to donate excess venison to their area meat processors. There, it is processed, packaged and distributed to area food banks, all funded by BADF. Project Venison has supplied the meat portions of more than two million meals since its inception. HUNTERS FOR HUMANITY
Hunters for Humanity is a multifaceted program administrated by the BADF to provide beneficial community assistance. In addition to proceeds earned from banquets, the Hunters for Humanity program collects canned food and warm hunting clothes and distributes the items to those in need. As our banquet program grows, the plan is to touch others in more than 250 countries. YOUR ROLE IN BADF
Now that you know a little about Buckmasters American Deer Foundation and our programs, we hope you will get involved with BADF and stay involved. you do make a difference! When you stand up for conservation, compassion and community, you will find us at your side.. Simply put, the heartbeat of Buckmasters American Deer Foundation is helping people. Whether you make a one time donation or volunteer your time, land or other resources, you will find it gratifying to know that you've made a difference in someone's life and that you've left nature better than you found it. Along the way, you'll discover and enjoy our wonderful wildlife heritage. Please join us in our efforts to conserve wildlife and led a helping hand to those in need.

At 51st State Bucks, one of our main goals is to help feed the hungry in our local community. We have purchased thousands of dollars in gift cards from Marketplace Foods (f/k/a Econo Foods) and Super One Foods, of which are given to local soup kitchens, churches, schools, St. Vincent DePaul and Salvation Army locations in our area. These avenues are very suitable for making sure that families in need are receiving the proper amount of food to feed their families. To date, we have supplied over 250,000 meals to needy families in our community.

This past year, 51st State Bucks’ “Feed the Hungry” program was sponsored through a grant from the Dickinson Area Community Foundation’s Hunger Fund. With their help, we were able to feed even more families than in the past.

This update is being posted on behalf of the Buckmaster’s committee informing you that Buckmaster’s as a corporation has dissolved. Our local chapter wants to continue with our mission of feeding the hungry along with taking a disabled youth and a wounded warrior on a hunt each year. With that being said, the local chapter will continue to support this mission, just under a new name. Our new name moving forward is 51st State Bucks. Everything will remain as it has for the past 25 years with the exception of the name change. We are currently doing all of the legal paperwork moving forward under 51st State Bucks while applying for our 501(c)3 to qualify as a tax-deductible organization.
