The Interlochen Arts Academy flute studio is comprised of passionate, curious, dedicated flutists who work together to achieve excellence in a supportive yet intensive environment. Recent graduates of the Academy have attended The Juilliard School, Colburn Conservatory, Curtis Institute of Music, New England Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, Oberlin, Rice University, Carnegie Melon University

, Northwestern University, and many other stellar institutions in the U.S. During the past six years, five members of the flute studio have been awarded the $10,000 Jack Kent Cooke Young Arts Award and have appeared on NPR's "From the Top." Interlochen flutists emerge from their studies with a strong fundamental foundation, confident and powerful artistry, a healthy physical and psychological approach to performing and taking auditions, and with tools for successful in gaining admission to top conservatory and university flute programs, summer festivals, and competitions.
