This year's pilot registration deadline is rapidly approaching.

The registration deadline for the 2026 US Women’s National Championship is 11:59 PM EDT on Thursday, April 30th.

Applications are available on Watch Me Fly and pilot entry fees can be paid at the BFA Online Store.

The adage that slow and steady wins the race was exemplified by Cheri Edwards White during the 2025 Balloon Federation of America US Women's National Balloon Championship, presented by Dawn Foods .

Not only did she lead the event from the third task onwards, she did so without securing a single task victory. 👏🏼👊💪🏼

(It should be noted that the statistics give all twenty-one competitors credit for winning task #7 (JDG) because it was a limited scoring area and nobody scored, so they all tied for first place.)
