We have officially finished our last event at the Collonade Shops in Independence! 😱 Bittersweet but we are excited for BIGGER & better things in 2026! ☺️ see you there!

Announcement about change in services! ⭐️⬇️

As some of you all know, we are 100% family owned, operated and funded! We have grown quickly over the years and have come to a crossroads about how to move forward in a way that’s sustainable for us as human beings!

That being said, starting in September we will no longer be hosting private events at The Higher Event Space. We will be transitioning into a members-only space and focusing our efforts fully on our CNKC events & membership services 🌱

It is our hope that this change will allow us to focus our time and efforts in a more efficient way to fundraise for our own space when our lease comes to an end. We have so enjoyed hosting you all for your birthdays, weddings, baby showers, etc. and hope to be able do it again in the future! Thank you for all your love and support over the years 💘 See you again soon!!!

We are saddened to hear about the closing of our neighbors at Salty Iguana Independence😔 This restaurant has been a huge staple of Independence for many years and we are sad to see them go! Best wishes to the owners and staff 🙏

It is with heavy hearts that we make the very difficult decision to permanently close Salty Iguana. This Tuesday was our last day of business at the Independence location & we will not reopen our Prairie Village & Lawrence restaurants.

After being in business for more than 30 years, we are so grateful to our amazing customers & staff that made Salty Iguana feel like home. We made so many happy memories, from beating the Guinness record for World’s Largest Nacho to hosting KU Hawk Talk, all while serving your Salty favorites. We have loved being a part of the Kansas City & Lawrence communities!
