Solo Ensemble Day 2 at State! All did very well, I am very proud so many made it to state and they were excited to represent small schools at such a large school event.

Ilwaco High School's drumline competed at their first drumline competition. They are excited to do it again next year.

79 Ilwaco Music students are in Orlando Florida performing at Festival disney. The Jazz Band, Concert Choir and Concert Band performed extremely well. Penelope Shell earned first place, Grover Kilburn earned second place and Juliet Perez earned 3rd place for their video solo submissions.”

At our Regional Solo Ensemble Competition, our students performed extremely well.
Overall (against the large schools)
Bass Clarinet Solo Penelope Shell 1st place and on to state
Alto Sax Solo Juliet Perez 1st Alternate to State, 1st place Small Schools
Snare Solo Grover Kilburn 1st place overall and on to state
Percussion Small Ensemble Blue Nights Trio 1st place and on to state (Grover Kilburn, Leland Cunningham, and Ashton Cherry)
Percussion Small Ensemble Blue Nights Quartet 1st Alternate to State

This Sunday, February 1, at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum, the Ilwaco HS Jazz Band and Mariachi Oro y Azul will be performing from 2pm to 4pm. Hope you can stop on by and see us.

It is another sunny weekend. Ilwaco High School Music program will be out washing cars at the Bank of the Pacific Long Beach Saturday (1/24) and Sunday (1/25) from 10am to 230pm. Cost = donations.
