Is dad a music lover? We have a 2-day line-up of R&B, jazz, funk, and neo-soul artists to entertain him and create great memories at the Live at Idlewild Music Festival.

Is dad a history buff? Get him tickets for one of the Historic Idlewild Bus Tours with great storytelling by Yates Township Historian Chris Grier.

How about fishing? He can drop a line at the Idlewild Lake Access Park before coming to the festival.

Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, and a time to reflect on equality and equity for all.

Idlewild was developed specifically to allow Blacks the FREEDOM to vacation, relax, play, own property and businesses, and enjoy nature. Many recreational places created for and owned by African Americans in the US didn't survive. Idlewild - the place and the people - is a living testament to empowerment, resilience, culture, self-determination and joy.
