🌟I can’t think of a better way to honor Women’s History Month than by attending the 4th Annual Lois Weber Film Festival—a celebration of the legacy of silent‑film pioneer Lois Weber and the powerful work of today’s women filmmakers!! 🌟
Join us for a three‑day showcase of women in film—historic, contemporary, and emerging voices. Festival highlights include a red‑carpet opening, a live‑score screening of Lois Weber’s The Blot, feature presentations of Riot In Bloom and Punkie, a dynamic lineup of short films by women filmmakers, a panel with industry leaders, and LWFF’s signature Genie Lamp Awards ceremony.

LWFF is thrilled to announce BIG NEWS: the 4th Annual Lois Weber Film Festival is expanding to three full days!
From March 20–22, we’re celebrating Lois Weber and women in film with an opening gala and special screening with live music on Friday, curated film blocks and a panel with women in film on Saturday, and a Sunday matinee with additional screenings and an award ceremony.
We’re also partnering with the historic West Newton Cinema, a 90-year-old theater recently saved by the community and now restored as a nonprofit space for film lovers. We can’t wait to celebrate the legacy of women in film—past, present, and future—there!
