Hairball is coming to the 2026 Kansas State Fair, and tickets are on sale now! The ultimate 80s Rock & Roll tribute will take the stage at the Kansas Star Casino Grandstand in Hutchinson, KS on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:30 PM.​

Get ready for a full-blown rock spectacle celebrating the iconic sound and style of legends like Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue and Queen. For 26 years, Hairball has been more than just a concert, it’s an immersive Rock & Roll spectacle that captures the spirit of an era. Want the ultimate VIP treatment? This ticket package includes access to the VIP Deck area, two drink tickets embedded in your lanyard, complimentary appetizers available from 6–7 PM within the VIP Deck area, and early entrance to the Grandstand. Each VIP Standing ticket is $85.​

VIP Deck – Reserved Table​
Get all your friends together with the VIP experience! Reserve a table on our VIP Deck to enjoy the show from a private table that seats six. In addition to a reserved table for six, this package provides two drink tickets per person embedded in each guest’s lanyard, complimentary appetizers available from 6–7 PM within the VIP Deck area, and early entrance to the Grandstand. Each VIP Reserved Table is $635.

We’re hiring for MULTIPLE full-time positions to help keep the Fair running smoothly year-round:
👉 Mechanic
👉 Facilities Specialist HVAC/Plumbing
👉Grounds Maintenance Supervisor Sr.
👉Facilities Maintenance Repair Technician

If you enjoy hands-on work and being part of a team that keeps things moving, we’ve got a place for you!

Mechanic –
Work on a wide variety of vehicles and heavy equipment—from trucks and tractors to mowers and machinery. You’ll handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and help support daily operations.

Facilities Specialist HVAC/Plumbing –
Keep our facilities event-ready by working across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. You’ll troubleshoot issues, assist with projects, and help lead maintenance efforts across the fairgrounds.

Grounds Maintenance Supervisor -
This position oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds at the Kansas State Fair year-round. Responsibilities include comprehensive lawn and landscaping care—such as planting, fertilizing, weeding, and winter snow removal.

Facilities Maintenance Repair Technician -
Directly assists Operations Manager and/or Operations Assistant Manager with a wide array of skilled and semi-skilled building repairs, event set-ups & tear down, cleaning and maintaining appearance of state buildings

What we’re looking for:
✔ Experience in mechanical or facility maintenance
✔ Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, or blueprints
✔ Hands-on problem-solving skills
✔ Welding or trade certifications are a plus

📍 Hutchinson, KS | 18+

Hairball is coming to the 2026 Kansas State Fair! The ultimate 80s Rock & Roll tribute will take the stage at the Kansas Star Casino Grandstand in Hutchinson, KS on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:30 PM. ​

Get ready for a larger-than-life concert experience celebrating the sound, style and energy of rock legends like Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue and Queen. For 26 years, Hairball has been turning concerts into full-blown rock spectacles with spot-on performances, pyrotechnics, lights and surprises.​

Jo Dee Messina is coming to the 2026 Kansas State Fair, and tickets are on sale now! The country music icon will take the stage at the Kansas Star Casino Grandstand in Hutchinson, KS on Sunday, September 13 at 7:30 PM, with critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and rising country music star Adam Doleac opening the night.​

Sing along to fan favorites from a career filled with nine number-one hits, including “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” and “Lesson in Leavin’.”​

Messina’s new album, Bridges, is 10 years' worth of seasons rolled up into one — the love, the life, the pain, the fight, the learning and the living through it all. ​

Opening the night is Adam Doleac, a Mississippi-born artist taking the Nashville scene by storm with his unique signature sound. His catalog includes the Gold-certified song “Famous,” along with recent release “Bye Heart.”​
