WHEN KIDS AGE OUT OF FOSTER CARE…

The statistics are sobering:

🎓 Only about 8% had earned a 2- or 4-year college degree by their mid-20s.

⚖️ 42% of young women and 74% of young men reported incarceration by age 26.

👶 Nearly 80% of young women reported experiencing a pregnancy by age 25–26.

But they aren't statistics. They are kids.

Kids who need connection, encouragement, practical skills, and someone who won't give up on them.

Aging out of foster care shouldn't mean aging out of having a family. ❤️

So…what exactly IS The Mary Magdalene House?

We’re a mission where most of the healing happens in a kitchen. ❤️

Our goal is simple: create a safe, family-like place where people can laugh, cry, be heard, and discover that their identity is in Christ alone.

We offer free Pastoral Counseling for families walking through mental illness, addiction, or just a difficult season.

We also offer mental health and spiritual growth classes because we believe caring for the whole person matters.

Why is it all free?
Because when one family member is struggling, so much of the family’s time, energy, and money goes toward that person. We want the rest of the family to have a safe place to receive support, too.

💗 Young Moms, This Night Is for YOU! 💗

We have a night in the kitchen planned just for young moms! Come spend some time with other moms who are right there with you in the early stages of motherhood.

You’ll get to make a couple of freezer meals to take home and feed your family, but even more importantly, you’ll have a chance to laugh, share, encourage one another, and connect with other young moms.

Motherhood can be wonderful, exhausting, messy, and everything in between. You don’t have to do it alone! ❤️

We currently have low registration, which means there are LOTS of spots available! So grab a friend and come join us!

September is still all about CONNECTION! ❤️

We’re spending time in the kitchen with the foster kids from the shelter (no pictures for now), creating a place where they can feel seen, valued, and connected.

We also have some great opportunities to connect through our other Connection Groups this month!

We’ve already started working on the 2027 calendar, and we’re excited about growing the ministry and creating even more opportunities for people to find connection and community.
