🚨 **IMPORTANT HUNTINGTON RIBFEST UPDATE** 🚨
After a lot of discussion and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to **postpone Huntington Ribfest scheduled for this week**.
Over the past several days, we have had a number of vendors notify us that they are unable to attend because of staffing challenges. In addition, the current weather forecast is calling for rain throughout much of the event.
Ribfest depends heavily on our food vendors, attractions, entertainment, and outdoor activities to create the experience everyone expects when they come through the gates. We also have to be mindful of the small businesses and vendors who invest a significant amount of time, staffing, travel, food, and money to participate.
We simply do not feel it is right to ask those businesses to take that financial risk when so many factors are working against the event this week.
Most importantly, **we do not want to put on a watered-down version of Huntington Ribfest.** If we are going to do it, we want to do it right.
We know many families have been looking forward to Ribfest, and we are incredibly sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this causes. We were looking forward to spending the weekend with Huntington as well.
Our goal is to **find another date and reschedule Huntington Ribfest**, and we will share additional information as soon as those plans come together.
Thank you to everyone who planned to attend, our sponsors, vendors, entertainers, staff, volunteers, and the Huntington community for your understanding and continued support.
This isn't goodbye, Huntington. ❤️
**We hope it's simply "see you a little later."** 🍖🎶🎡
