IT’S TIME!!!!

We are so excited to kick off the 2026 season at HART in the Park with auditions SATURDAY February 7th for “Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical” (show dates are June 12th-14th, 19th-21st and 26th-28th) and our FIRST HART, Jr. main stage show “Shrek the Musical, Jr.”(show dates July 17th-19th, 24th-26th). Auditions will be from 11-4pm at Central Christian Church, 1205 5th Avenue in Huntington! (Any callbacks will be from 1-3 at HART’s Altizer Building on Sunday.)

Please prepare 30 seconds of a musical theater piece for our directors. You may bring sheet music as we will have piano accompaniment available or we will have a Bluetooth speaker available. Sides will be available for character readings.

Age range for Matilda is 5-125 and for Shrek is 5-18, but the majority of the opportunities for children will be in Shrek, Jr.

The audition form is attached below if you’d like to print and fill out before arriving.

It’s OPENING NIGHT for HART'S MARY POPPINS at The Ritter!

We wanted to take a moment to answer some Frequently Asked Questions:

1. We recommend bringing your own lawn chair, the seating is best described as a layered lawn. Blankets are fine too, however it can be difficult to see the show if you are sitting on them versus chairs.

2. There will be various food trucks in attendance each night and there is a concession stand and merchandise table inside the amphitheater. You may also bring in your own refreshments, no glass containers please.

3. If your dog is well behaved and doesn’t interrupt the performance they are welcome to join us.

4. Parking is free at the Ritter Park Amphitheater.

5. We are utilizing a digital playbill and QR codes are posted throughout the Amphitheater.

6. Tickets are:
Adults $18
Children ages 2-12 $15
Seniors ages 62+ $15
Group of 10 (must be purchased at the gate) $120

7. Tickets on sale @ 6pm
Gates open @ 6:30pm
