Laura Whitsitt Memorial Horse Show Show bill on day of show will be final. This year the show will be run in a BRAND NEW arena on DIRT. NPBA, NBHA, and NFRA sanctioned.

IF we get rain and the all sand Wrangler Arena is usable then we will run there instead of trying to reschedule.

SHOW UPDATE! We are going to go ahead and do a TWO HOUR DELAY. All times on the showbill plus 2 hours, so warm ups will start at 10 eastern and the show will not start before 1 eastern. The arena is in good shape for the amount of rain we got! Use caution when parking, it is all grass and a bit wet. Please watch this page for further updates and call or text if you have additional questions.

Show status: GO!
If you’ve ever ran in the sand at Dubois, you know it needs a lot of water to make it hold and it’s looking like we’re going to get the perfect amount. This picture was taken about an hour ago when the rain stopped. We can take more tonight and a little in the morning and then shoot some “alright now time to quit” prayers up to Laura at showtime tomorrow.
If needed, we’ll call a 1 hour delay but for now we are full steam ahead! Can’t wait to see everyone!

🐴 This show will be in the SAND arena
🐴 Stalls and electric are NOT available
🐴 NPBA sanction is pending
🐴 Concessions on site from approx. 9am-3pm

The 2025 Laura Whitsitt Memorial Horse Show is set for June 14 at Dubois. The official showbill is coming very soon but… how does $1000 added in the Open sound??

💥 IMPORTANT SHOW UPDATE 💥

Hello everyone, Natalie here with bad news.
Due to some uncontrollable circumstances, I have made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2024 Laura show. The show is a massive undertaking and I just don’t have the ability to put on a quality show this year, even with the army of helpers that I know I could count on. I still FULLY intend to help out the 2024 Dubois County State Fair kiddos, and FULLY intended to bring back the Laura show in 2025.

Please know that it took me a long time to make this decision and it comes at NO fault of Dubois County, NBHA IN05, or anyone else involved. This is my fault alone and I am very sorry to disappoint everyone. I hate this but I know she would be proud of the work we’ve done so far, and the good we will keep doing in the future.

The good news is that Jen with NBHA IN05 will be taking over the date so there will still be a show at Dubois on June 29, it just won’t be the Laura show.

If anyone would still like to donate to the Laura Whitsitt Memorial Fund to help ease the financial burden for the State Fair crew, please reach out to me privately.

Thank you all for your understanding, and I’ll see you in 2025.
