SWEA Boston Swedish Yuletide

Only four days away! Countdown is on to our favorite time of year, and the Swedish celebration at YULETIDE! There is no secret that we Swedes are proud of our heritage, and we love sharing our traditions with friends and family here in the US.

This Saturday we are so happy to be able to great you at the Wellesley Congregational Church for a second year, and everyone is hard at work to prepare the best event for all our wonderful visitors.

The children from the Swedish School of Boston will of course as usual bring Lucia songs and Christmas cheer during Yuletide, but
new this year is a concert in the church with the vocal group, Merulae, right after Yuletide. At 3.30 pm, the Swedish Vocal group of nine women singers will perform their Lucia celebration during a beautiful concert as the day nears the end and Lucia´s lights lead the way in the darkness.

Welcome to our Swedish Christmas Concert with Lucia!

On December 7 we welcome you to Wellesley Hills Congregational Church for an amazing concert; including soloists, the vocal group Merulae, interfaith coalition singers What the world needs now and of course the Lucia Choir from Swedish School of Boston.

A PRIVATE TABLECLOTH was accidentally sold on Saturday. Did you buy it by chance?🙏

Do you recognize the tablecloth that’s hanging in this picture? It was used for decoration, and was not for sale at the fair. Accidentally someone sold it to one of our visitors. If that person is you, would you please let us know as it’s very important to the person who owns it, and she would love to get it back. It was hanging next to the Food table, by the used books.
You will of course get paid back what you paid for it.

Thank you everyone for making our event yesterday such a success!🙏❤️

We had more than 1000 people visit us, and everything went so smoothly. The museum is spacious so we had different areas for the cafe, the vendors, the music and the children’s craft table. (150 children came to craft during the event🥰).

We are so grateful for all our volunteers, but also to all of you visitors for coming, and being part of our success! Happy holidays!🎄❤️
