Turntablism is more than scratching and mixing — it’s a living art form. It’s the foundation this whole culture stands on. Every needle drop, every scratch, every blend is a piece of hip-hop history being passed down. When our DJs battle, they’re not just competing — they’re carrying a lineage forward, teaching the next generation that this craft deserves respect, discipline, and space to grow.

Here in Texas, keeping turntablism alive means keeping OUR culture alive. It means the youth coming up behind these DJs get to see themselves in this art form and know it’s theirs to inherit, protect, and evolve.

This is why we do what we do. Unity in the culture, unity in the community.
