Zine Fest Houston (ZFH) is dedicated to providing opportunities and space for zinesters, artists, and self-publishers to present DIY works and participate in an alternative avenue for commerce. Through year-round educational programming, publications and a free annual festival, ZFH seeks to empower independent artists, lift up marg

inalized voices in the creative sphere, and promote equitable conditions for its creative community to thrive. ZFH VISION STATEMENT

Economic and creative liberation through self-publishing

Zine Fest Houston (ZFH) seeks to become a vehicle for new and emerging artists to experiment and thrive with not only the support of a vibrant community but through material assistance in the form of grants and paid opportunities with the festival. In addition, ZFH’s goal is to create the social conditions for alternative creative expression, as well as create a sustainable financial base from which to offer competitive payment for services rendered by artists, tech support, presenting artists, and beyond.

A wonderful artist and designer, longtime friend of fest and valued community member, and an absolute gem of a human, we KNEW with all our honkin' hearts that he'd pick up the prompt and run with it. 🤡🎠🎪⭐
