Anime Matsuri Convention July 23-26, 2026. Celebrating 20 years! An annual Anime & Japanese culture convention in Houston, TX Our venue is the George R. Join us!

In 2007 we set out to color the City of Houston with Anime and Japanese Pop Culture. 20 years later we have become one of the largest anime conventions in the country with over 40,000 unique attendees. Brown Convention Center with 1.8 Million Sq feet of space and the top Convention District in USA. We continue to promote international friendship and business and bring tourism and art to Houston. Our 2026 event will be on July 23-26.

The opening ceremony was filled with so many amazing attendees, cosplayers, guests, and fans coming together to celebrate 20 years of Anime Matsuri.

From the crowd to the ribbon cutting, this was such a special moment to kick off an unforgettable weekend.

SO MANY PEOPLE JOINED US! 🎉🔥

Anime Matsuri kicked off in a huge way with an amazing crowd, incredible energy, and a special ribbon cutting to celebrate 20 years of Anime Matsuri.

Thank you to everyone who came out, joined the opening celebration, and helped make this moment unforgettable. Seeing so many attendees, cosplayers, guests, and fans come together made the start of the weekend even more special.

It was an absolute blast at Anime Matsuri! The crowd was loud, the energy was insane, and every match brought nonstop action.

Anime Matsuri was an unforgettable weekend filled with cosplay, gaming, shopping, panels, guests, performances, friends, and nonstop convention energy.
