Anime Matsuri Convention July 23-26, 2026. Celebrating 20 years! An annual Anime & Japanese culture convention in Houston, TX Our venue is the George R. Join us!

In 2007 we set out to color the City of Houston with Anime and Japanese Pop Culture. 20 years later we have become one of the largest anime conventions in the country with over 40,000 unique attendees. Brown Convention Center with 1.8 Million Sq feet of space and the top Convention District in USA. We continue to promote international friendship and business and bring tourism and art to Houston. Our 2026 event will be on July 23-26.

Happy Lunar New Year 2026! As we welcome the Year of the Horse, may this season bring energy, success, and fantastic new adventures. The Horse symbolizes strength, passion, and momentum. This is a reminder to chase dreams with confidence and embrace new opportunities. May this year be filled with happiness, prosperity, good health, and exciting journeys ahead. Here’s to fresh beginnings, positive transformations, and a year that races forward with joy and triumph.
The last Year of the Horse in 2014, Anime Matsuri moved back to the GRB from the Hyatt Regency and the Year of the Horse before that, in 2002, Deneice and I met for the first time.
