Scout is at Vergi animal hospital suffering from IMHA, where her immune system destroys her red blood cells.

With the mask mandate easing (although I will continue to wear a mask or face shield when out in public), is there interest in a Paint Your Own Piece workshop? Maintaining safe distance isn’t an issue because I always limit attendees so there is space to work. Any class will be limited to 4 students.

Several have asked how to get masks. We are not selling the masks. We are making them for Front-Line personnel. However, we are requesting sponsorships because this is expensive and many of our businesses have closed. The sponsorship can be a straight sponsorship or it can be a request for a mask plus enough to cover the cost for Front-Line personnel. If interested, please know there is a waiting list and that we must finish our current backlog. I am making the sponsor masks as well as Front-Line. The volunteers are making only donated masks.

Your sponsorship covers fabric, ribbons, elastic, ties, needles, blades, thread, plastic bags, bandaids and more.

The mask has a pocket for an n95 filter or can be worn over a filter. You also can put filter material in the pocket. It is made so you can wear it with elastic around your ears, around your head or with ties. If ordered with ties I will tie one on so you can see how it's done, but I ask that you tie the rest so I can sew.

There are multiple offers on Etsy, eBay and FB Marketplace if you need something sooner.

For those who have received masks from The Kutting Krewe Project, this is how it is worn over an n95. The top pleat folds up over the nose. The bottom goes under your chin. The model has a beard. The entire beard is supposed to be inside with fabric touching under the chin.

To those who are making masks using my pattern and instructions: Here is a 12 minute video. I hope it helps. I also added a revision to make the final pleats easier and more effective. The video is in the comments.
