Welcome to the 9th Annual Chord Energy Houston Corporate 5K Run/Walk @ Memorial Park! We can't wait to see you this coming week on your respective team days! We want to share some key pieces of information, so we urge you to please read this before you head to Memorial Park next week so everything goes smoothly for you.

Starting Off...Reminder to our 'newbies' that our corporate village opens at 3pm, with the start line open from 4-6:30pm. What does this mean? You can start your 5k run/walk at anytime between 4-6:30pm, for complete flexibility. Take your time, give yourself enough buffer to be there and get started and be with your co-workers! The corporate hospitality village where Saint Arnold and snacks are located will remain open until 7:30pm.

For Packet Pickup:
REMINDER: There is NO individual packet pick-up for this event. Your team captains will be distributing your packets prior to your event day. Check with your team captain to confirm the plan.

Your Packets and Bib
If you haven’t received your packet, including race bib and shirt, you need to pick it up from your team captain or designated representative this week.

Your Bib Is Your Entry Ticket
If you do not have a bib you cannot get into the event. DO NOT FORGET YOUR BIB on your designated race day. This not only will ensure you get timed in the race but serves as your admission ticket to the hospitality village. It is your responsibility to get your bib from your team captain. There will not be an opportunity to replace bibs that are lost or that you forget.

Some other key things to note:
1. No dogs/pets allowed in the tent village.
2. Please, no children under the age of 18 in the tent village. Registration for this event was only open to 18+, so please leave the kiddos at home and enjoy the evening with your coworkers and fellow companies present!

Weather
The weather is looking great for next week with plentiful sunshine all week! Highs are in the 80s at the start of the event each day, with it cooling down in the evening. Dress appropriately, considering it's going to feel a bit more like summer at 4pm and maybe a little more like fall at 6pm.

Medical
If at any point you feel the need for our medical team to assist you, the Houston Fire Department and an EMS vehicle will be on site to tend to you right near the start/finish line area. If you're on the course and feel you need help, let our team at the half way water stop know and you can chill there until the medical team arrives to assist you. Yes, it will be warm(er) outside for many of you during your run/walk. Always listen to your body, and don't push harder than you normally would when outside in warmer weather. We always have lots of walkers out there too, so take a nice stroll around the park instead of running, if needed.

In just two weeks, we’ll come together for three unforgettable nights at Memorial Park, where more than 10,000 participants and 240+ company teams will showcase what Houston’s corporate community is all about — teamwork, wellness, and giving back. From the buzz of the start line to the celebrations in our sold out Tent Village, this year is shaping up to be the most exciting edition yet of “Houston’s largest office party.”
