The great flamingo migration has come to an end. The flamingos revisited and were very welcome at Royalewood road today. A second flock landed on Middle Pointe Road. However the third group made a longer journey to Lake St in Painesdale where the host was very enchanted. Thank you to everyone who supported our seniors and to those that hosted the flamingos during their journey.

Though the flamingo migration is coming to the end, the flamingos are still moving around the area. Be on the lookout for them. They split into 3 groups today and have been spotted on Paradise Road, Champion Street in Houghton, and on Horatio St. They certainly get around!

Migration update: A flock of flamingos have been spotted down on Lakeshore Drive while some others went to higher ground on Horatio Street. I wonder how much longer they’re going to stick around.

Flamingos flew into town today. They decided to land between College Ave and Sharon. One landed on 10th Ave where they allowed the local humans a photo op. The other flock didn’t want to go uphill so it stayed lower down on Agate St.

Yesterday's Mother’s Day migration! Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there. The flocks have migrated in celebration. Today they’ve flown to Wilson Memorial Drive in Chassell and Sandpiper Drive in Houghton.

The flamingos migrated on Saturday, no weekend rest for them! They’ve been spotted across the bridge in Hancock on Cooper Ave and on Royalwood Drive in Houghton. Word on the wind is they’ll be moving again on Mother’s Day.

Friday night, one of the flocks revisited Jacker Ave in Houghton. The grass does look pretty green there. Another flock tried something new and migrated west to Laminga Road, the farthest migration of the year.

The flamingos don’t stay still for long. They’ve been sighted at Middle Point Lane as well as Brookside Drive. They surely do brighten up the place with their flamboyant colors! So glad the cold isn’t scaring them away!
There’s still time if you’d like to have them stop at a friend’s house!

The flamingos continue to migrate around Houghton. They've recently been spotted on Calverly St and Douglas Ave. I wonder where they will go next?!?

A double flock of flamingos settled on Agate St, they must have known how much he loves birds! The others wanted a less busy street and they moved a little further out to stop for a rest on Paradise Rd.
