Good morning everyone! We have had a few setbacks that caused our opening date to change. With that being said we are shooting for Monday the 9th as being our official start date. We are hoping by then the resurfacing of the city street will be complete and we will be able to let cars in the drive without any trouble. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

When we started our display it was to simply bring joy and happiness to whoever visited. Seeing smiles and hearing the excitement from the people driving through was all we needed to keep on going. Throughout the years we have been asked if we take donations but we had never really considered it. We buy things and repurpose stuff to add to the display all year long so it doesn't hit the pocket too hard. Our philosophy is if we have the time and funds of our own we will continue to grow the display. However, it seems over the past few years the request have increased and it has gotten us thinking. What if we could use our display as a way to give back even more? We decided to setup a Cash App for donations as it was the most requested method. SHL will always be a free display so all donations will be used to give back to the community. It has really touched our hearts to know we have made such an impact that guest are willing to donate to help spread joy. From our family to yours we say thank you and hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

We have most of the display up and will be working nightly until everything is done. So if you don't see your favorite decoration make sure to come back and see us.

We are trying to be ready for December 1st but we suffered a lightning strike last year that took out a lot of lights. We had the tree that was struck removed and are finally getting started putting everything up. Keep checking our page for an official opening date.

What started as a friendly competition in 2009 between neighbors quickly turned into something far bigger than any of us had imagined. By year three or four, the competition had died down but we noticed we had gotten the attention of passing traffic. So we were left with the dilemma of scaling back and just decorating for the family to enjoy or continue ahead and see what happens. Now having a Grandmother who had every indoor Christmas decoration made you can only imagine the look on her face when we even considered turning back. The decision was final and we began thinking of ways to improve our display and set us apart from other houses in our town. We had a few ideas in mind and were deciding on how to approach them when in 2017 we lost our biggest fan, my Grandmother. The next few years we didn't add much to the display but we made sure we had it up as it was her favorite thing. After a few years, we had a fire ignite in us and we decided to double the size of the show and open our drive for guests to get a closer look. Doing so allowed us to meet our visitors and create an experience we will hold onto forever. To hear people say that we were part of their Christmas traditions and hearing the joy coming from the line of vehicles made all the work worth it. We decided that as long as there was interest in our show and we were able to continue to put in the hours it would be up for everyone to enjoy. To everyone who has visited our show, we thank you for your support. You are the reason we do what we do.
