JEFFERSON, GA — The Alliance DriveAway Solutions STAR Super Stock Tour is set to make its historic first-ever visit to Carteret County Speedway & Entertainment Complex next Sunday, May 24th, as part of a huge Memorial Day Weekend celebration featuring Twin 25 Lap Feature events.
As the 2026 championship battle continues to tighten, some of the Southeast’s top Super Stock competitors will roll into the Crystal Coast looking to gain valuable momentum in Rounds 5 and 6 of the 10 race championship season.
After four races completed, South Carolina driver Glenn Mappus currently leads the Alliance DriveAway Solutions STAR Tour standings with 189 points following a strong start to the year. Georgia standout David Murphy sits just 11 points behind in second with 178 markers, while Jeremy Fowler currently occupies third in the standings with 155 points heading into Carteret County Speedway.
The tight and fast 4/10-mile oval is expected to provide intense side by side racing and an exciting new challenge for the competitors of the STAR Tour as the series visits Carteret County Speedway for the very first time.
STAR Tour promoter Boo Carlisle says the Memorial Day Weekend event is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated races on the 2026 schedule.
“To be able to bring the STAR Tour to Carteret County Speedway for the first time ever is something we’re extremely excited about,” said Carlisle. “It’s a beautiful facility with an incredible atmosphere, especially on Memorial Day Weekend.”
The Alliance DriveAway Solutions STAR Super Stock Tour would also like to thank the entire Carteret County Speedway staff and team that work tirelessly week in and week out to keep the facility looking beautiful and operating at a absolute first class level for racers and fans alike.
