Hi friends! The Chemung County Fair starts in just 2 days! Unfortunately, due to the fire that broke out earlier this year, Cliff Place is unable to operate this year. The fire resulted in all of the vendor booths that were located under the bleachers to be taken down and we were unable to find an alternate temporary location to get set up in time for this years fair. We’re not sure if the booths will be rebuilt or not so the future of Cliff’s Place is unknown at this time. Although we will miss seeing you all at the fair this year, we are hopeful that things will be back up and running as normal next year. We will keep you updated as information is shared with us and we decide what our future plans will be. Thank you all for your support over the years! 🍟♥️

To our loyal Cliff’s Place customers: We come to you today with unfortunate news that a fire broke out early this morning at the Chemung County Fairgrounds. The majority of the damage was contained to the vendor booths under the bleacher area, which includes Cliff’s Place. Although the damage to Cliff’s Place booth was minor, the damage to the structure of the building was not. We do not know yet what this means for the future of Cliff’s Place, or for the other business that operated in that area (Baker’s Blooming Onions and On a Roll), but we will keep you informed as we know more. 🥺🍟

Today is the day… Today is your last chance to scoop up some of our fresh cut fries. Once the potatoes are gone, we’re gone, so please don’t wait! In the grandstand tonight is the Finals for the Demolition Derby. The action starts at 4:00 PM. Come early and pick up an order or two of fries to take to the show. See you at the fair.

Last night at the Chemung County Fair we found a men’s wedding band, that was left on one of our picnic tables. If you are missing your wedding band, please stop by the stand to claim it.

Happy Saturday friends! Today is the day that Cliff’s Place gives back! Every year we pick a local charity, and we donate all tips collected throughout the week and 10% of our Saturday sales to that charity. The charity we chose this year is Donate Life! This donation will be made in memory of a local young teen, and our friend, Billy Lowe, who died in May 2020 due to an unexpected cardiac incident. Billy’s family made the amazing decision to donate Billy’s organs so their “worst day, made someone else’s best day”. We appreciate all generous donations as we remember Billy Lowe and help raise awareness for organ donation.

Day 1 is in the books, and what a day it was! Thanks to everyone who came out to support us. Because of you, we went through 600 lbs of potatoes tonight!! It was so nice seeing familiar faces and old friends, and we had a blast making some new friends. See you tmrw!

Hey french fry lovers! Today is the official start of the Chemung County Fair and we are ready to serve you! We’ve got curly fries, ribbon fries, and regular straight french fries available! Stop down and give some a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The Demolition Derby starts at 7:00 PM. I heard it’s almost a sold out show, so get your tickets before it’s too late! See you at the fair. 🎡
