Winner of IFEA's prestigious Pinnacle Award as best festival event of it's kind in the WORLD. Our 6th Annual free family festival is in downtown Hopkinsville, KY, Aug 26-27, 2022. The Jason Montgomery Band will play at 3:30pm on Saturday on the Bluegrass Beverage stage. Saturday night, Cassandra will open on the Main Stage at 7pm, followed by our 2022 headliner, KC and the Sunshine Band! The festival features tons of free music, nearly 100 food vendors, kids rides, bouncers and more.

It's time! Applications are NOW OPEN for vendors at the 9th Annual Summer Salute Festival. Don't forget, the festival will take place on September 12th and 13th this year.

Food trucks, dessert trucks, lemonade stands, face painters, product sellers, and more - all are welcome to apply. In the spirit of giving our vendors the best opportunity to generate sales, we will be limiting the number of vendors for specific items. Spots are prioritized, by the submission timestamp, so don't wait to get your application in!

Press Release: Hopkinsville's Summer Salute 2025 Shifts to a Cooler Weekend

November 4th, 2024 - Hopkinsville, KY - The highly anticipated 9th Annual Summer Salute festival is making a significant change for 2025 by shifting to a new, cooler weekend. Traditionally held in late August, Summer Salute will now take place on September 12th and 13th. This adjustment comes in response to valuable feedback from community members and results from recent event surveys.

The decision to move Summer Salute to September is aimed at creating a more comfortable experience for everyone involved—event staff, vendors, and attendees alike. In past years, intense August heat has created challenges, with food truck vendors reporting temperatures inside their vehicles reaching up to 135 degrees due to the combined effects of cooking equipment and high outdoor temperatures. Historical weather data shows that September in Hopkinsville generally brings more moderate temperatures, providing welcome relief.

“After much discussion, moving Summer Salute to a later date was a decision we felt strongly about,” said Toby Hudson, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation. “Our top priority is the safety and comfort of all parties involved, and we’re optimistic the new September weekend will offer a better experience for everyone.”

Are y'all ready for Summer Salute this weekend?? We sure are! In just a few short days downtown Hopkinsville will be transformed into a hub of activity with vendors, food trucks, the Justice Center Stage, and the Kids Zone moving in for the weekend.

Join us all day Friday and Saturday (11 AM to 10 PM) for fantastic food, family fun, and of course, free concerts! Parmalee headlines Saturday night opened by Tyler Booth, and the Jimmy Church Band brings back their classic entertainment Friday night.
