Paeʻāina Challenge Expo: Kicking off the weeklong celebration of the waʻa, paddlers, families and community members from around our paeʻāina w
ill go to Kualoa Beach Park for a day of culture, beach preservation, history and water sports competition. While more than 1,000 competitors and participants prepare their canoe for a second day of long-distance racing from Kualoa to Waikiki, visitors and community members are invited to enjoy music, activities and shopping from local artisans.
38-mile Oahu Challenge: This Kualoa Beach Park-to-Waikiki canoe race culminates in a Finish Line Spectacular on Waikiki Beach (fronting Hilton Hawaiian Village). The 38-mile course, for men and women of all ages, will span the east- and south-facing shores beneath the majestic Koʻolau mountain range and moku of Oahu. This battle of the paddle will determine the top crews in each category with prizes awarded in each division. The elite six finishing crews will be eligible to qualify for the Molokai Challenge the following week.
